Product Description
The Audeze LCD-2 Classic are open-back, over-ear planar magnetic headphones that deliver a rich, full-bodied and highly engaging listening experience. Voiced with a warm, musical character and exceptional soundstage, they bring a lifelike, almost speaker-like presentation to your favourite albums, films and games. With their offset magnet array, ultra-thin diaphragm and carefully tuned drivers, the LCD-2 Classic offer serious audiophile performance at the most accessible price point in the LCD range.
From the first track, the LCD-2 Classic impress with their effortless sense of weight, clarity and depth. Bass is powerful yet controlled, mids are smooth and natural, and treble remains detailed without becoming fatiguing. Combined with a ventilated suspension headband, glass-infused nylon rings and plush earpads, these headphones are designed for long, relaxed listening sessions where you can simply sink into the music.
Full-Bodied, Lifelike Sound
The LCD-2 Classic are designed to immerse you in a realistic, live-like sound. Their planar magnetic drivers reproduce transients with speed and precision, while maintaining a natural warmth that flatters a wide range of genres. The result is a presentation that feels weighty and substantial, yet remains articulate and revealing, allowing you to hear deep into mixes without harshness.
Patented Offset Magnet Array
Audeze’s proprietary offset magnet array gives the LCD-2 Classic a broad, deep sense of space. By optimising airflow and how the diaphragm interacts with the magnets, these headphones deliver a wide, open soundstage with excellent imaging. Instruments and vocals occupy a clear, three-dimensional space, making it easier to pick out individual elements and enjoy a more immersive, out-of-head listening experience.
Musical, Forgiving Tuning
The driver tuning of the LCD-2 Classic lends a smooth, almost tube-like character to the sound. They are detailed enough to satisfy critical listeners, yet forgiving enough to enjoy less-than-perfect recordings. This balance makes them ideal as an all-rounder for everyday listening, mixing and mastering, or simply rediscovering your music library without feeling like every flaw is under a microscope.
Engineered for Long-Term Comfort
To keep listening fatigue to a minimum, Audeze developed glass-infused nylon rings that reduce weight while preserving the sonic character of the original LCD-2 design. The ventilated suspension headband distributes pressure evenly across your head, and the thick, soft earpads provide a secure yet gentle seal. Together, these elements allow the LCD-2 Classic to sit comfortably for extended sessions, album after album.
