Product Description
The ADAM Audio H715 Reference is a flagship open-back headphone designed for mixing and mastering when accurate, transparent monitoring is essential. Its custom 40 mm titanium-plated PEN drivers combine exceptional bass response, ultra-low distortion and a frequency range extending from 9 Hz to 40 kHz, delivering detailed and balanced reproduction across the spectrum.
Designed for long sessions, the H715 Reference features a lightweight ergonomic construction with a spring steel headband, memory foam earpads and milled aluminium yokes. The earcups fold flat for convenient transport, while the included hardshell case provides protection when travelling.
Dual-sided cable connectivity allows you to choose between the supplied 1.3 m coiled studio cable and dedicated 3 m Hi-Fi cable. The latter supports balanced operation with a compatible amplifier when Hi-Fi Mode is activated.
The H715 Reference also includes software developed with Sonnox, including the Headphone Utility plug-in and ListenHub. These provide calibration, crossfeed, referencing, metering and imaging tools to help your mixes translate accurately. With replaceable earpads, headband padding and cables, the H715 Reference is built to provide dependable reference monitoring for years to come.
Features
- Titanium Plated PEN Drivers - Custom 40 mm drivers deliver balanced, detailed reproduction with exceptional bass response, ultra-low distortion and a frequency range from 9 Hz to 40 kHz.
- Ergonomic Open Back Design - A spring steel headband, memory foam earpads and angled drivers provide comfortable, transparent monitoring during extended mixing and mastering sessions.
- Professional Software Suite - Sonnox Headphone Utility and ListenHub provide calibration, crossfeed, referencing, metering and imaging tools for more reliable headphone monitoring.
Reference Monitoring:
The H715 Reference is engineered for demanding mixing and mastering applications, providing the detailed and balanced presentation expected from a professional monitoring system. Its custom 40 mm titanium-plated PEN drivers use powerful neodymium magnets, carefully tuned suspension and a patent-pending ventilation system to deliver an exceptional combination of clarity, bass response and low distortion.
The open-back acoustic principle and angled driver arrangement contribute to a transparent, spacious presentation, while the woven steel mesh and acoustic damping material help control unwanted resonances. With a frequency range of 9 Hz to 40 kHz, a maximum SPL of 113 dB and THD below 0.05 per cent at 100 dB SPL, the H715 Reference provides the precision needed to make critical decisions throughout a mix.
Comfort and Modular Construction:
Long studio sessions demand headphones that remain comfortable and secure, and the H715 Reference has been carefully engineered with this in mind. Its spring steel headband provides a reliable fit, while the central cutout in the padding helps reduce pressure around the crown of the head. Soft memory foam earpads adapt around the ears for a comfortable fit.
Milled aluminium yokes provide a durable connection between the headband and earcups, while the fold-flat design makes the headphones easier to transport. The earpads and headband padding are replaceable, as are the detachable cables, helping extend the working life of the headphones. A hardshell case is also included for safe storage and transportation.
Hi-Fi Mode and Software:
The H715 Reference is equally suited to critical listening at home, with a dedicated Hi Fi Mode designed for use with a compatible balanced amplifier. The included 3 m Hi Fi cable uses a 4.4 mm Pentaconn connector and connects to both earcups for balanced operation.
Also included is a suite of software developed with Sonnox. The Headphone Utility plug-in provides precise ADAM Audio headphone calibration and adjustable crossfeed, helping mixes translate more naturally between headphones and loudspeakers. ListenHub provides a virtual monitoring environment for referencing tracks, matching loudness and checking mono, sides and balance. Together, these tools provide a flexible monitoring solution for both studio and Hi-Fi applications.
