Product Description
The Chapman Ghost Fret Classic in Paradise Purple takes the iconic, angular Ghost Fret silhouette and infuses it with vintage flair, classic tones and a seriously eye-catching metallic finish. With a solid Mahogany body, set Roasted Maple neck and a pair of hot Alnico V humbuckers, it is built to cover everything from bluesy crunch to searing modern rock, all while looking unapologetically bold on stage.
Balancing old-school feel with modern reliability, the Ghost Fret Classic offers a comfortable C-shaped neck, rolled Rosewood fretboard edges and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets for slick playability and rock-solid tuning stability. Add in coil-splitting, a treble bleed circuit and premium wiring components, and you have a versatile workhorse that rewards expressive players who want characterful tone without sacrificing precision.
Vintage Vibes, Modern Attitude
Chapman have taken the legendary Ghost Fret platform and reimagined it with a more classic voice. The 24.75 inch scale length, Mahogany body and set neck construction nod to vintage single-cut favourites, delivering a warm, punchy response that feels instantly familiar under the fingers. At the same time, the aggressive body shape and Paradise Purple metallic gloss finish ensure this guitar still looks every bit the modern rock machine.
Comfortable Roasted Maple Neck
The set Roasted Maple neck offers enhanced stability and a smooth, fast feel, while the C-shaped profile sits comfortably in the hand for both rhythm chording and lead work. A Rosewood fretboard with rolled edges and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets makes bends, vibrato and fast runs feel effortless, and the 9.5 inch radius strikes a great balance between vintage comfort and modern playability.
Expressive, Versatile Pickups
A matched pair of Wilkinson R Series 7484 Alnico V humbuckers gives the Ghost Fret Classic a wide tonal palette. The bridge pickup delivers tight, articulate bite for riffs and solos, while the neck pickup offers a smoother, more rounded voice for cleans and singing leads. With a 3 way toggle, coil split on the tone control, Sprague orange drop capacitor and treble bleed circuit, you can move from thick humbucker roar to chiming single coil clarity without losing definition when you roll back the volume.
Reliable Hardware and Premium Details
Locking tuners in a 6 in a line configuration keep tuning stable through heavy playing and string bends, while the Chapman stop tail bridge anchors the strings securely for solid sustain and intonation. Glow in the dark side dots help you stay oriented on dark stages, and the gold hardware adds a touch of class that perfectly complements the Paradise Purple metallic gloss finish.
Features
- Solid Mahogany Body with Metallic Gloss Finish - The Mahogany body provides a rich, resonant tonal foundation with plenty of midrange punch, ideal for rock and metal styles. The Paradise Purple metallic gloss finish adds a striking visual edge that stands out under stage lights while still letting the guitar feel classy and refined.
- Roasted Maple Set Neck with Rosewood Fretboard - A Roasted Maple neck improves stability and resistance to environmental changes, helping your setup stay consistent. Combined with a Rosewood fretboard, rolled edges and a comfortable C profile, it offers a smooth, broken in feel that encourages longer, more relaxed playing sessions.
- Wilkinson R Series Alnico V Humbuckers with Coil Split - The Wilkinson R Series 7484 pickups deliver powerful, articulate tones, with the bridge voiced for punch and aggression and the neck for warmth and clarity. Thanks to the coil split and quality electronics, you can access everything from thick humbucker grind to brighter, more percussive single coil style sounds, making this a highly adaptable instrument for multiple genres.
- Modern Hardware with Locking Tuners and Treble Bleed - Locking tuners make string changes quick and help maintain tuning stability during heavy playing, bends and vibrato. The treble bleed circuit keeps your tone clear and present when you roll back the volume, so you can clean up your sound from the guitar without it turning muddy, giving you more control straight from the instrument.
