Product Description
The Zildjian Avedis Medium 16 Crash is a classic, all round cymbal that delivers a perfectly balanced mix of brightness and warmth. Quick to open up with a clear, defined attack, it blooms into a smooth, musical wash that never feels harsh or overbearing. Whether you are playing rock, pop, funk or general session work, this 16 inch crash slots effortlessly into the mix and responds beautifully at a wide range of dynamics.
Sitting in the sweet spot of the Avedis range, its medium weight gives you enough projection and cut for live gigs while remaining controlled and refined for rehearsals and studio sessions. It is an ideal choice if you want one dependable crash that can cover a lot of ground, blend well with other cymbals and stay musical at all times.
Classic Avedis Sound
Part of the legendary Avedis Zildjian line, this crash carries the familiar, tried and tested tonal character that has shaped countless recordings and live shows. The blend of bright attack and warm body makes it instantly usable in almost any musical setting, giving you a sound that feels familiar and sits naturally alongside other Avedis cymbals.
Balanced Brightness and Warmth
The medium weight and traditional Avedis voicing strike a careful balance between shimmer and body. You get enough top end to cut through guitars and keys, but with a rounded warmth that stops the cymbal from sounding brittle. This makes it easy to control in smaller rooms and ideal for drummers who want presence without harshness.
Quick Response, Smooth Decay
The 16 inch size and responsive profile mean the cymbal opens up quickly, even at lower volumes. A clean, articulate initial crash is followed by a smooth, musical decay that does not linger too long, leaving space for the rest of the kit. This makes it great for accents, grooves and fills where you need clarity and control.
Versatile for Multiple Styles
Designed to work across a broad range of genres, the Avedis Medium 16 Crash feels equally at home in rock, pop, funk and general session work. Its versatile response and controlled sustain make it a strong choice as a main crash on compact setups, or as part of a larger array where you need a reliable, go to voice that always delivers.
