Product Description
The Yamaha FSX315C Electro Acoustic in Natural is a compact, concert-sized guitar that delivers a comfortable feel, clear acoustic tone and reliable on-board electronics at a very accessible price. With a spruce top, tropical tonewood back and sides and Yamaha’s acclaimed ART pickup system, it is a brilliant choice for beginners, smaller players or anyone needing a portable electro acoustic that sounds natural when plugged in.
Balancing playability, durability and tone, the FSX315C is ideal for home practice, lessons, open-mic nights and travel. The cutaway body gives you easy access to higher frets, while the built-in tuner and simple controls make it quick to dial in a great sound on stage or in the rehearsal room.
Comfortable Concert Cutaway Body
The FSX315C uses Yamaha’s concert body shape with a cutaway, giving you a slightly smaller and more manageable feel than a full-size dreadnought. This makes it easier to hold and play for younger or smaller-framed guitarists, and more comfortable for long practice sessions. The cutaway also lets you reach higher frets with ease, opening up more melodic and lead playing possibilities.
Spruce Top with Tropical Tonewood Back and Sides
A spruce top provides a bright, clear and responsive acoustic voice that works well for strumming and fingerpicking alike. Paired with tropical tonewood back, sides and neck, the FSX315C offers a balanced, musical tone that sits well in a mix and encourages good playing dynamics as you develop your technique.
Yamaha ART Pickup and SYSTEM68 Electronics
Fitted with Yamaha’s ART (Acoustic Response Technology) pickup and SYSTEM68 preamp, the FSX315C delivers a warm, natural amplified sound that stays true to the character of the guitar. Simple volume and tone controls let you shape your sound quickly, while the built-in tuner means you can stay perfectly in tune wherever you are, without needing extra gear.
Ready for Practice, Performance and Travel
With its compact body, comfortable neck and reliable electronics, the FSX315C is equally at home on the sofa, in the classroom or on stage. The slightly shorter 634 mm scale length and 43 mm nut width offer an easy-playing feel that is friendly for beginners, yet responsive enough for more experienced players looking for a handy second guitar or a dependable travel companion.
