Yamaha FS820TQ Acoustic Guitar in Turquoise

The Yamaha FS820TQ is a compact concert-sized acoustic that blends a bright, articulate voice with warm, supportive lows, all wrapped up in a striking Turquoise gloss finish. With a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides and a comfortable, slightly smaller body, it is a brilliant choice for players who want a responsive, great-sounding guitar that is easy to live with at home, on the go or on stage.

Whether you are just starting out or you already have a few gigs under your belt, the FS820TQ offers a versatile, inspiring platform for strumming, fingerpicking and melodic playing. Its scalloped bracing helps the top move more freely for improved resonance and projection, while the rosewood fingerboard and bridge keep the feel smooth and familiar under the fingers. Add in reliable die-cast tuners and you have a dependable, great-looking instrument that invites you to pick it up and play.

Compact Concert Body

The FS series concert body is slightly smaller than a traditional full-size dreadnought, making the FS820TQ more comfortable to hold and easier to manage, especially for younger players or anyone who prefers a closer, more intimate feel. The tighter waist and compact dimensions also help focus the midrange, giving you a clear, balanced sound that works brilliantly for recording, practice and smaller performance spaces.

Solid Spruce Top with Scalloped Bracing

At the heart of the FS820TQ is a solid spruce top, chosen for its bright, articulate character and strong dynamic response. Spruce handles everything from delicate fingerstyle to more aggressive strumming without losing clarity. Yamaha’s scalloped bracing pattern allows the top to vibrate more freely, enhancing resonance, sustain and overall projection so your playing carries with confidence.

Mahogany Back and Sides Warmth

Mahogany back and sides add warmth and depth to the FS820TQ’s voice, rounding out the spruce top’s brightness with a smooth low end and rich, musical mids. This classic tonewood pairing gives you a balanced sound that sits well in a mix and suits a wide range of styles, from folk and pop to light rock and acoustic blues.

Player-Friendly Appointments

A rosewood fingerboard and bridge provide a familiar, comfortable playing surface, helping chords and single notes feel natural under the fingers. Die-cast tuners keep the guitar in tune with stable, precise adjustment, while the gloss finish not only looks elegant in Turquoise but also helps protect the wood. The result is an instrument that feels reassuringly solid and ready for regular practice, writing sessions and intimate performances.
