Yamaha FS820RR Acoustic Guitar in Ruby Red

The Yamaha FS820RR is a compact concert-size acoustic that combines a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides to deliver a warm, focused and articulate voice. Finished in a striking Ruby Red gloss, it is comfortable, easy to play and ideal for players who want a smaller body without sacrificing projection or tonal depth.

With its newly developed scalloped bracing, the FS820RR offers impressive resonance and clarity, whether you are strumming open chords or exploring more intricate fingerstyle patterns. The slim, comfortable neck and smooth rosewood fingerboard make it a welcoming instrument for beginners, while its refined, balanced tone will also appeal to more experienced players looking for a reliable, great-sounding acoustic.

Comfortable Concert Body

The FS820RR features a small and thin concert-style body that sits closer to the player, making it easier to hold and control than a full-size dreadnought. This compact shape is particularly well suited to younger players, those of smaller stature, or anyone who prefers a more intimate feel when playing seated or standing.

Solid Spruce Top with Mahogany Back and Sides

A solid spruce top provides bright, clear attack and excellent note definition, while mahogany back and sides add warmth and richness through the midrange. This classic tonewood pairing gives the FS820RR a balanced sound that works just as well for gentle fingerpicking as it does for more dynamic strumming.

Enhanced Resonance with Scalloped Bracing

Inside the body, newly developed scalloped bracing allows the top to vibrate more freely, increasing volume, sustain and overall responsiveness. The result is a guitar that feels lively under the fingers and projects confidently, helping your playing carry in practice, rehearsal or more intimate performance settings.

Refined Look and Playability

Cream body and fingerboard binding frame the Ruby Red finish for a smart, upgraded appearance. The rosewood fingerboard and bridge offer a smooth playing surface and natural feel, while die-cast tuners provide precise, stable tuning so you can focus on your music rather than constant adjustment.

• Compact Concert-Style Body - The smaller, thinner body is easier to hold and play, especially for younger players or those who find larger guitars uncomfortable. It promotes better posture and control, helping you play for longer with less fatigue.
• Solid Spruce Top - A solid spruce soundboard delivers bright, articulate tone and improves with age and playing time. This gives the FS820RR a lively, responsive character that rewards dynamic strumming and detailed fingerpicking.
• Mahogany Back and Sides - Mahogany adds warmth, depth and a strong midrange presence, balancing the clarity of the spruce top. This combination produces a rich, musical sound that suits a wide range of styles from folk and pop to light rock and acoustic blues.
• Scalloped Bracing and Die-Cast Tuners - Newly designed scalloped bracing enhances resonance and projection, making the guitar sound bigger than its compact size suggests, while die-cast tuners keep your tuning stable and accurate, reducing the need for constant retuning.
