Yamaha FS7 RX Concert Electro-Acoustic Guitar - Spruce Top Rosewood Back and Sides

The Yamaha FS7 RX is a premium, made in Japan concert electro acoustic that blends traditional craftsmanship with cutting edge electronics. With a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides and Yamaha’s Atmosfeel pickup system, it delivers a rich, articulate acoustic voice that translates beautifully on stage, in the studio or at home.

Part of Yamaha’s flagship FG/FS7 Series, the FS7 RX focuses on powerful projection, clarity and nuance. The smaller concert body is incredibly responsive to a light touch, making it ideal for fingerstyle, intricate chord work and detailed arpeggios, while still offering enough headroom for dynamic strumming. Traditional Japanese detailing and a premium hardshell case complete a highly refined, performance ready package.

Expressive Concert Body

The FS7 RX uses Yamaha’s smaller FS concert style body, giving you a balanced, focused tone that is perfect for modern players who value detail and dynamics. The compact shape sits comfortably whether you are seated or standing, and its responsive nature rewards subtle right hand technique, making it a superb choice for fingerstyle, folk and acoustic pop.

Solid Sitka Spruce and Rosewood Power

A solid Sitka spruce top is paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides for a classic high end acoustic recipe. The spruce top, supported by scalloped X bracing and a reinforced back, offers impressive projection and sensitivity, while the rosewood adds deep lows, shimmering highs and rich overtones. Together they produce a full, three dimensional sound that inspires you to play more.

Atmosfeel Electronics for Natural Plugged In Tone

Yamaha’s Atmosfeel system is designed to capture the true character of the guitar when amplified. A bridge piezo sensor handles low frequencies, an internal microphone focuses on low and midrange detail, and a proprietary contact sensor reproduces the high end. The result is a clear, natural sound with excellent feedback resistance, so you can confidently take the FS7 RX onto any stage.

Premium Japanese Craftsmanship and Detailing

Built in Japan as part of the FG/FS7 Series, the FS7 RX showcases meticulous attention to detail. A one piece mahogany neck with a comfortable Rounded V profile and semi gloss finish feels smooth and fast under the hand, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge add clarity and definition to every note. Traditional Japanese touches, including a washi paper inner label, rope inspired rosette and Kumiki influenced fingerboard inlays, give this guitar a distinctive, refined aesthetic.

• Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Scalloped X Bracing - The solid Sitka spruce top, supported by carefully voiced scalloped X bracing and a reinforced back, delivers powerful projection, excellent dynamic range and a highly responsive feel. This lets you move effortlessly from delicate fingerpicking to more aggressive strumming without losing clarity.
• Solid Indian Rosewood Back and Sides - Solid Indian rosewood provides a strong low end, sparkling highs and complex harmonics, giving the FS7 RX a deep, detailed acoustic voice. The all solid construction also means the guitar will continue to open up tonally over time as you play it.
• Yamaha Atmosfeel Pickup System - The Atmosfeel system combines a bridge piezo for lows, an internal microphone for low and midrange detail and a contact sensor for high frequencies. This multi source design produces a natural, three dimensional amplified tone that closely matches what you hear acoustically, making it ideal for live performance and recording.
• Premium Japanese Build with Traditional Detailing - A one piece mahogany neck with a Rounded V profile, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle and Gotoh Cosmo Black open gear tuners all contribute to a stable, resonant and reliable instrument. Traditional Japanese design cues, such as the washi paper label, rope style rosette and Kumiki inspired inlays, add a unique visual identity that sets the FS7 RX apart.
