Product Description
Handcrafted in Japan, the Yamaha FS7 MX is a premium concert-style electro-acoustic that blends classic tonewoods with cutting-edge electronics. With a solid Sitka spruce top, solid African mahogany back and sides and Yamaha’s Atmosfeel pickup system, it delivers a rich, articulate acoustic voice that translates beautifully on stage, in the studio or at home.
The compact FS concert body offers a focused, balanced sound with excellent note definition, making it ideal for fingerstyle, intricate chord work and singer-songwriters who need clarity without sacrificing warmth. High-end appointments including an ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle and Gotoh SXN510 tuners underline its professional pedigree, while refined Japanese-inspired detailing gives the FS7 MX a quietly luxurious aesthetic.
Premium Japanese Craftsmanship
Built in Japan as part of Yamaha’s FG/FS7 Series, the FS7 MX benefits from meticulous construction and attention to detail. The one-piece African mahogany neck, carefully voiced body and high-quality hardware come together to create a guitar that feels solid, responsive and inspiring every time you pick it up.
Solid Wood Tone and Projection
A solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid African mahogany back and sides provides a powerful yet controlled acoustic voice. The scalloped X-bracing lets the top move more freely, enhancing projection and dynamic range, while the mahogany adds warmth, a present midrange and smooth overtones that sit perfectly in a mix.
Atmosfeel Electronics for Natural Amplified Sound
Yamaha’s Atmosfeel system combines an undersaddle pickup, contact sensor and internal microphone to capture the full character of the FS7 MX. With dedicated controls for master volume, mic blend and bass EQ, you can easily dial in a detailed, natural amplified sound that works in a wide range of venues and PA setups.
Comfortable Concert Body and Refined Feel
The FS concert-style body offers a slightly smaller, more comfortable profile without compromising on tone. A 634 mm scale length and 44 mm nut width strike a sweet spot between easy playability and string spacing, while the ebony fingerboard and semi-gloss neck finish provide a smooth, fast feel that suits both delicate and more energetic playing styles.
Features
- Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Scalloped X-Bracing - The solid Sitka spruce top, supported by scalloped X-bracing, delivers a lively, responsive acoustic tone with impressive projection. This combination enhances both subtle dynamics and powerful strumming, giving you a versatile sound that works across genres.
- Solid African Mahogany Back and Sides - Solid African mahogany back and sides provide a warm low end, clear mids and smooth, rounded highs. This tonal balance helps your playing sit naturally in a band mix while still offering plenty of character for solo performance.
- Yamaha Atmosfeel Pickup System - The Atmosfeel system blends an undersaddle pickup, contact sensor and internal mic for a rich, three-dimensional amplified sound. With intuitive controls for mic blend and bass EQ, you can tailor your tone to different rooms and playing situations without losing the guitar’s natural character.
- Premium Playability and Hardware - An ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle and Gotoh SXN510 tuners combine to deliver a stable, precise playing experience. These components enhance sustain, tuning accuracy and clarity, making the FS7 MX a reliable choice for demanding live and studio work.
