Product Description
The Vox MV50 Rock is a ultra-compact 50 watt guitar amp head that delivers full-fat, old-school valve character in a tiny, gig-ready package. Combining Vox’s revolutionary Nutube technology with a punchy Class D power amp, it serves up everything from gritty crunch to saturated rock tones, whether you are on stage, at home, or tracking direct in the studio.
Designed with a purist analogue signal path and simple controls, the MV50 Rock gives you the feel and response of a traditional amp without the weight or hassle. Plug it into your favourite cab, use the EQ switch to match different speaker sizes, or go straight to a mixer or interface via the built-in cab-simulated line/headphone out for convincing recorded tones at any volume.
Big Rock Tones, Tiny Footprint
The MV50 Rock distils a classic high-gain amp rig into a head that literally fits in the palm of your hand. At just 540 g, it is easy to throw in a gig bag or backpack, yet it still delivers up to 50 watts of output for proper stage levels with a 4 ohm cab. This makes it ideal for players who want serious rock tones without lugging heavy heads and combos between rehearsals, gigs and home.
Nutube Analogue Preamp
At the heart of the MV50 Rock is an all-analogue preamp featuring Nutube 6P1, a genuine vacuum tube that offers the harmonic richness and touch sensitivity of a traditional valve in a compact, low-power format. Backed up by a carefully voiced analogue circuit, it reacts to your picking dynamics and guitar volume just like a classic amp, moving smoothly from warm, open cleans to tight, aggressive overdrive.
Flexible Cabinet Matching
Although it pairs perfectly with Vox’s own compact cabs, the MV50 Rock is designed to work with a wide range of speaker cabinets. The rear-panel EQ switch lets you choose between FLAT and DEEP modes so you can optimise the amp for different setups. Use DEEP to add body and tame highs with smaller cabs, or switch to FLAT with larger, more traditional cabinets to hear their natural character without extra coloration.
Ready for Silent Practice and Direct Recording
For late-night sessions or studio work, the MV50 Rock features a line/headphone output with built-in cabinet simulation. Developed in collaboration with experienced recording engineers using premium microphones and vintage preamps, this circuit delivers a convincing miked-cab sound straight to your mixer, audio interface or headphones. You get mix-ready tones without needing extra gear, ideal for home recording or silent practice.
Features
- 50 Watt Nutube Power in Your Hand - Up to 50 watts RMS into 4 ohms gives you genuine gigging volume from an amp head small enough to fit on a pedalboard or in a gig bag pocket, making it perfect for players on the move.
- All-Analogue Nutube Preamp Circuit - The Nutube 6P1-based preamp and rich analogue componentry deliver authentic valve-style warmth, compression and responsiveness, so your tone cleans up with your guitar volume and roars when you dig in.
- EQ Switch for Any Cabinet - FLAT and DEEP modes let you tailor the low and high frequency balance to suit small or large cabs, helping you get a balanced, powerful sound whether you are using a compact practice cab or a full-size stack.
- Cab-Sim Headphone and Line Output - The dedicated line/headphone out with cabinet simulation provides convincing recorded and monitoring tones straight into a mixer, interface or headphones, ideal for silent practice and quick, hassle-free recording.
