Please do not come to the store before you have received the follow-up message, as your order may not yet be ready at the store.
If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

The Vox MV50-CL Clean is a tiny, 50-watt guitar amp head that delivers big, glassy tones inspired by classic valve amplifiers. Weighing just over half a kilo yet packing serious stage-ready power, it is a flexible solution for gigging, home practice and direct studio recording, with both speaker and line/headphone outputs on board.
At the heart of the MV50-CL is Vox’s Nutube-equipped all-analogue preamp, capturing the touch sensitivity and harmonic richness players love about traditional valve amps. Paired with a custom Class D power section and a carefully voiced cabinet simulation on the line/headphone out, it gives you convincing amp feel and tone in a format that fits in a gig bag or on a crowded desk.
Nutube Analogue Preamp Tone
The MV50-CL’s preamp is built around Nutube 6P1, a revolutionary vacuum tube that delivers genuine valve response in a compact, low-power package. This all-analogue circuit is loaded with carefully chosen components to recreate the dynamics and warmth of a classic clean amp. From sparkling highs to full, rounded lows, it responds to your picking nuances and guitar volume changes just like a traditional valve combo.
Powerful, Lightweight Class D Output
To harness that analogue preamp tone, Vox have designed a dedicated Class D power amp that keeps things loud, clean and efficient. With up to 50 watts RMS into 4 ohms, the MV50-CL has more than enough headroom for rehearsals and live work when paired with an appropriate cabinet. The power section is voiced to stay articulate and musical, moving seamlessly from pristine cleans into natural, touch-sensitive drive when you dig in.
Flexible EQ Voicing For Any Cabinet
Although it partners perfectly with compact cabs like the BC108, the MV50-CL is designed to work with a wide range of speaker cabinets. A rear-panel EQ switch lets you choose between FLAT and DEEP modes. Use DEEP to add body and tame top end with smaller cabs, or switch to FLAT with larger, more traditional cabinets to let their natural character shine without additional tonal shaping from the amp.
Ready For Silent Practice And Direct Recording
When you cannot turn up a speaker, the MV50-CL’s line/headphone output comes into its own. This output features a built-in cabinet simulation developed in collaboration with experienced recording engineers, using premium microphones and vintage preamps. The result is a convincing, mix-ready amp sound that you can send straight to a mixer, audio interface or headphones, making late-night practice and quick recording sessions simple and inspiring.
