Tobias Classic IV Bass Guitar in Satin Natural

The Tobias Classic IV Bass in Satin Natural is a modern reintroduction of a legendary design, built for players who demand clarity, power, and effortless playability. With its neck through construction, premium tonewoods, and fully active Bartolini electronics, it delivers tight, defined lows, punchy mids, and sweet, singing highs that sit perfectly in any mix. From studio sessions to the biggest stages, this is a bass created to perform at the very highest level.

Every detail of the Classic IV is focused on feel and tone. The 5 piece maple and purpleheart neck runs the full length of the instrument, capped with wenge wings and a highly figured quilted maple top for a boutique look and a harmonically rich response. The Tobias Asym profile, jumbo frets, and a precisely engineered Babicz bridge make the playing experience fast, comfortable, and incredibly stable, while the Bartolini 18V preamp and dual humbuckers give you all the tonal control you need to shape your sound.

Premium Neck Through Construction

The Classic IV features a 5 piece hard maple and purpleheart neck through body design that maximises sustain, resonance, and tuning stability. Because the neck runs the full length of the bass, vibrations travel more efficiently from the strings into the body, giving you a tight, focused low end and a smooth, even response across all 24 frets. It also provides exceptional upper fret access, making complex lines and solos feel natural and unrestrained.

Exotic Tonewoods with Boutique Aesthetics

Walnut body wings with wenge veneer and a highly figured quilted maple top combine to create a visually striking instrument with a sophisticated tonal character. Walnut and wenge contribute warmth, articulation, and a strong midrange presence, while the quilted maple cap adds clarity and definition. The result is a bass that not only looks stunning under stage lights but also delivers a balanced, musical voice that works across genres.

Tobias Asym Neck and Wenge Fingerboard

The Tobias Asymmetrical neck profile is designed to fit the natural shape of your fretting hand, feeling slimmer on the treble side and fuller on the bass side. This reduces fatigue during long sets and makes fast runs, stretches, and complex chords more comfortable. Paired with a smooth wenge fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets, you get a fast, responsive playing surface that encourages precision and expressive phrasing.

Bartolini 18V Active Electronics

Dual Bartolini MT4C 1 radiused top humbuckers feed into an 18V Bartolini preamp, giving you a powerful, low noise signal with huge headroom. With Master Volume, Blend, Bass, Mid, Treble, and a Mid Frequency switch, you can fine tune your tone from deep, dub like lows to aggressive, cutting modern sounds. Whether you need subtle studio refinement or bold, stage ready punch, the Classic IV puts a wide palette of professional tones at your fingertips.
