Strandberg Boden Standard 5-String Bass Guitar in Black Metallic

The Strandberg Boden Standard 5 Bass in Black Metallic is a feather-light, multi-scale 5-string designed for modern players who demand comfort, clarity and huge, stadium-ready tone. Combining an ergonomic body, the patented EndurNeck profile, Fishman Fluence active electronics and a rock-solid roasted Maple construction, it is built to keep you performing at your best on long gigs, sessions and tours.

With its focused Basswood body, extended 33 to 35 inch scale and ultra-precise EGS hardware, the Boden Standard 5 delivers tight lows, articulate mids and a clear top end that sits perfectly in any mix. Whether you are playing intricate technical lines, laying down deep grooves or switching between multiple genres in one set, this bass gives you the feel and flexibility to do it all with ease.

The lightweight design significantly reduces shoulder and back fatigue, while the multi-scale layout keeps the low B string punchy and defined without sacrificing comfort on the higher strings. Add in the versatile Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups and 2 band active EQ, and you have a single instrument that can cover everything from pristine hi fi cleans to aggressive, modern grind at the flick of a switch.

Finished in a sleek Black Metallic Satin with matching black anodised hardware, the Boden Standard 5 looks as contemporary as it feels. The roasted Maple neck and fretboard not only enhance stability and resonance, but also provide a smooth, fast playing surface that inspires confidence under the fingers. If you are ready to take your playing to the next level with a forward thinking, performance focused 5 string, the Boden Standard 5 is an outstanding choice.

Feather Weight, Gig Ready Design

Weighing in at around 3 kg, the Boden Standard 5 dramatically reduces physical strain compared to traditional 5 string basses. The compact, ergonomic body shape sits naturally whether you play seated or standing, helping you maintain good posture and play longer sets in comfort without compromising on tone or sustain.

EndurNeck Profile for Effortless Technique

The patented EndurNeck profile is designed to support a more relaxed, neutral wrist position across the entire neck. This reduces tension and fatigue, particularly during demanding technical passages or extended sets, and encourages cleaner fretting, better intonation and more consistent technique up and down the 24 fret neck.

Fishman Fluence Power and Versatility

Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups, paired with a Fishman 2 band active preamp, provide a wide palette of usable tones. With coil split capability, a 3 way voice selector, master volume, pickup balance and stacked bass and treble controls, you can quickly move from tight, modern punch to more open, vintage inspired sounds to suit any style or mix.

Multi Scale Clarity and Tight Low B

The 33 to 35 inch multi scale configuration keeps the low B string tight, focused and in tune across the fretboard, while maintaining a comfortable feel on the higher strings. This improves note definition, tuning stability and overall clarity, especially when using lower tunings or playing complex lines that move across the entire neck.

• Ultra Lightweight Ergonomic Body - The solid Basswood body and compact Strandberg shape keep the overall weight around 3 kg, reducing fatigue and making it ideal for long rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions while still delivering a full, focused low end.
• EndurNeck Roasted Maple Neck - The bolt on roasted Maple neck with EndurNeck profile offers exceptional stability, a smooth feel and improved ergonomics, helping you play faster and cleaner with less strain on your hands and wrists.
• Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar Pickups - Active Fishman Fluence Bass 5 pickups with coil split and multi voice options provide a huge range of tones from clean and hi fi to aggressive and punchy, ensuring you can adapt your sound to any genre or playing situation.
• 33 to 35 Inch Multi Scale Layout - The extended 35 inch scale on the low strings keeps the B string tight and articulate, while the shorter 33 inch scale on the higher strings maintains a comfortable feel, giving you improved intonation, clarity and playability across all five strings.
