Strandberg Boden Bass Standard 4 Bass Guitar in Black Metallic

The Strandberg Boden Bass Standard 4 in Black Metallic is a feather-light, ultra-modern bass designed for players who want cutting-edge ergonomics and stadium-ready tone in one sleek package. With its multi-scale layout, patented EndurNeck profile, active Fishman Fluence electronics and carefully voiced Basswood and Roasted Maple construction, it delivers a powerful, articulate sound that stays comfortable and consistent through the longest sets.

From progressive metal and djent to pop, funk and fusion, this Boden Bass Standard 4 gives you a huge tonal range, effortless playability and rock-solid tuning stability in a compact, futuristic form factor. If you are looking to upgrade to a bass that keeps up with every technical demand while remaining incredibly easy on your back and shoulders, this could be the perfect next step.

Ultra-Light, Ergonomic Design

The Boden Bass Standard 4 is built around Strandberg’s signature headless, compact body design, keeping the weight extremely low while maintaining excellent balance. The sculpted Basswood body and carefully contoured edges sit naturally against your body whether you play seated or standing, reducing fatigue and strain. This makes it ideal for long rehearsals, tours and studio sessions where comfort is just as important as tone.

EndurNeck Profile for Effortless Technique

Strandberg’s patented EndurNeck profile is designed to support your fretting hand in a more natural, relaxed position. The unique, faceted shape encourages correct thumb placement and reduces tension, helping you play faster, cleaner lines with less effort. Over extended gigs, this can make a real difference to your stamina and consistency, especially if you use complex chord shapes, wide stretches or advanced techniques.

Multi-Scale Precision and Feel

With a 33 to 34.5 inch multi-scale configuration, the Boden Bass Standard 4 optimises string tension across the neck. The lower strings feel tight and defined for punchy, focused lows, while the higher strings remain supple and expressive for melodic work and chords. The subtle fanned fret layout feels natural under the fingers and helps improve intonation and clarity across the entire fretboard.

Fishman Fluence Power and Versatility

A pair of Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups, combined with a Fishman 2-band active preamp, give this bass a broad palette of tones. From deep, modern low-end to articulate midrange growl and crisp top-end definition, the three selectable Fluence voices and coil-split options let you adapt instantly to different genres and mixes. Whether you are cutting through a dense wall of guitars or laying down a smooth R&B groove, you have the control to dial in exactly what you need.

• Feather-Light, Ergonomic Body - The compact, headless Basswood body with carefully sculpted contours keeps the weight extremely low while remaining perfectly balanced. This reduces shoulder and back strain, making it far easier to get through long sets and rehearsals without fatigue.
• EndurNeck Multi-Scale Neck - The 33 to 34.5 inch multi-scale Roasted Maple neck with the EndurNeck profile supports a more relaxed hand position and optimised string tension. You benefit from improved comfort, better intonation and a more consistent feel across all four strings.
• Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar Pickups - Fishman Fluence Bass 4 pickups in the neck and bridge positions deliver a powerful, noise-free signal with multiple voicings and coil-split capability. This gives you everything from tight, modern punch to more traditional, open tones at the flip of a switch.
• Active 2-Band Preamp with Flexible Controls - The active electronics feature master volume with push/pull coil-split, pickup balance, a stacked bass/treble EQ and a 3-way voice selector. This intuitive layout lets you quickly shape your sound on stage or in the studio, tailoring your lows, highs and overall character to suit any style.
