Product Description
The Sonor ProLite 14 x 5 Snare in Satin Gloss Nussbaum is a premium, ultra-responsive maple snare designed for drummers who demand musicality, articulation and classic warmth. Marrying an extremely thin 100% maple shell with reinforcement rings and precise 45° bearing edges, it delivers a grand, open sound with a beautifully balanced mix of mids and highs, all wrapped in an elegant walnut-inspired finish.
Whether you are shaping tight, articulate backbeats or more open, expressive strokes, this ProLite snare reacts instantly to your touch. The combination of a shallow 5 inch depth and thin maple construction gives you fast stick response, impressive projection and a refined tonal character that sits comfortably in a wide range of musical styles. Finished in a tasteful satin semi-gloss, it looks as sophisticated as it sounds, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio.
Sonor’s meticulous shell construction and high quality chrome hardware ensure reliable tuning stability and a consistent voice from gig to gig. The 2.3 mm Power Hoops add focus and definition without choking the shell, allowing the drum to breathe and resonate naturally. If you are looking for a versatile, professional snare that combines classic maple warmth with modern precision, the ProLite 14 x 5 in Satin Gloss Nussbaum is a superb choice.
Extremely Thin 100% Maple Shell
At the heart of this snare is an ultra-thin, hand selected 100% maple shell that delivers a grand, open sound with unmistakable warmth. The thin construction allows the drum to resonate freely, giving you a lively, musical tone with excellent sensitivity at all dynamic levels.
Integrated Reinforcement Rings
Reinforcement rings are built into the shell to add structural strength and focus to the sound. This combination of thin shell and rings provides a controlled, articulate response with a pleasing balance between body and clarity, ideal for both studio recording and live performance.
45° Bearing Edges for Precision and Clarity
Carefully cut 45° bearing edges maximise head contact and tuning accuracy. This results in a crisp attack, enhanced sensitivity and a balanced spread of mids and highs, making ghost notes, rimshots and intricate patterns speak clearly and consistently.
Satin Gloss Nussbaum Finish with Chrome Hardware
The Satin Gloss Nussbaum finish gives the drum a refined, natural look that highlights the wood character without being overly flashy. Paired with chrome shell hardware, it offers a professional, timeless aesthetic that will complement virtually any kit on stage or in the studio.
