Sigma OMT 28H Acoustic Guitar

The Sigma OMT 28H is a beautifully appointed orchestra model acoustic that blends classic styling with modern reliability. With its solid Sitka Spruce top, comfortable 000 14-fret body and quality hardware throughout, it delivers a clear, balanced voice that flatters fingerstyle, flatpicking and light strumming alike, all at a price that remains accessible to working musicians and serious beginners.

Part of the Sigma Standard Series, the OMT 28H draws on Sigma’s 1970s heritage of building inspiring, great-sounding instruments that do not break the bank. A dovetail neck joint, bone nut and saddle, and Grover open-gear tuners speak to a focus on tone and longevity, while the slim Mahogany neck and Micarta fingerboard keep playability smooth and effortless. Finished in a polished gloss with tasteful ageing toner, it has the look and feel of a well-loved, vintage-inspired acoustic that will keep you coming back for more.

Comfortable 000 Body for Versatile Playing

The OMT 28H uses a 000 14-fret body size that sits comfortably whether you play seated or standing. It is compact enough for long practice sessions and intricate fingerstyle work, yet still offers enough air volume for strumming and flatpicking. This balance of comfort and projection makes it a strong choice if you need one acoustic to cover a wide range of styles.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top for Clarity and Projection

At the heart of the guitar is a solid Sitka Spruce top, carefully chosen for its responsiveness and dynamic range. Solid Spruce opens up the more you play it, rewarding regular use with increased richness and complexity. Whether you play softly with your fingers or dig in with a pick, the OMT 28H responds with clear note separation and plenty of headroom.

Balanced Tilia Back and Sides

The Tilia back and sides provide a balanced tonal foundation that complements the Spruce top. Expect a focused midrange with controlled lows and a sweet, singing top end, ideal for recording or ensemble playing where you need your parts to sit neatly in the mix. This even response helps your chords sound full without becoming boomy, and keeps single-note lines articulate and defined.

Player-Focused Neck and Hardware

A low-profile Mahogany neck and Micarta fingerboard make fretting feel natural and relaxed across the entire range. The bone nut and saddle enhance sustain and tuning stability, while the two-way truss rod allows precise neck adjustment as conditions change. Grover nickel open-gear tuners provide smooth, accurate tuning and a classic aesthetic, so you can focus on playing rather than constantly re-tuning.

• Solid Sitka Spruce Top - A solid top delivers superior resonance, clarity and dynamic response compared to laminates, giving you a lively, expressive acoustic tone that will continue to mature and improve over time.
• Comfortable 000 14-Fret Body - The orchestra-sized body offers an ideal blend of comfort and projection, making it suitable for fingerstyle, strumming and flatpicking without feeling bulky or unwieldy.
• Mahogany Neck with Low-Profile Shape - The slim, low-profile Mahogany neck promotes easy chord work and smooth position shifts, helping reduce fatigue during longer sessions and making complex passages more approachable.
• Bone Nut and Saddle with Grover Open-Gear Tuners - Traditional bone components enhance sustain and tonal richness, while quality Grover tuners provide reliable, precise tuning stability, so the guitar stays in tune and sounds its best.
