Sigma A-Style MA-2E Electro Acoustic Mandolin

The Sigma MA-2E is a versatile A-style electro acoustic mandolin that blends traditional tone with modern practicality. With a hand-carved solid spruce top, flamed maple back and sides and a quality Fishman pickup system, it delivers a clear, punchy voice that is equally at home on stage, in the studio or around the campfire.

Designed for players who want authentic mandolin character without a premium price tag, the MA-2E offers impressive projection, a strong chop and a comfortable thin V-profile neck that feels fast and responsive under the fingers. Finished in a classic vintage sunburst and supplied with an embroidered softshell case, it is a complete, gig-ready package for bluegrass, folk, Celtic and beyond.

Traditional A-Style Design with Modern Playability

The MA-2E follows the time-honoured A-style mandolin shape, giving you a focused, articulate sound with excellent note separation. The compact body is comfortable whether you are seated or standing, while the thin V-profile maple neck offers a familiar feel that makes chord changes and fast runs feel natural and controlled.

Hand-Carved Solid Spruce Top

At the heart of the MA-2E is its hand-carved solid spruce top, chosen for its responsiveness and dynamic range. Solid spruce reacts beautifully to your playing, from delicate tremolo picking to hard-driving rhythm, ensuring your tone stays lively, open and expressive as the instrument continues to mature over time.

Flamed Maple Back and Sides

Flamed maple back and sides add both visual flair and tonal clarity. Maple is renowned for its bright, punchy character and quick response, helping the MA-2E cut through a mix with a strong chop and clear single notes. The polished gloss vintage sunburst finish highlights the figuring, giving the mandolin a classic, stage-ready look.

Stage-Ready Fishman Electronics

Equipped with a Fishman 520E-VS system, the MA-2E is ready to plug straight into an amp or PA without sacrificing its natural acoustic character. The pickup captures the mandolin’s clear, articulate voice, making it ideal for live performance and recording where consistent, controllable sound is essential.
