Product Description
The Sennheiser e 908 B is a wired clip on condenser microphone designed specifically for brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. With its flexible gooseneck, secure clip and included MZA 900 P preamp, it delivers a lively, defined sound while giving you the freedom to move naturally on stage.
Perfect for saxophone, trombone, congas and floating drum systems, the e 908 B captures the true character of your instrument with impressive clarity and punch. Its shock mounted capsule keeps handling noise to a minimum, while the rugged, road ready construction ensures reliable performance night after night.
Natural, Defined Instrument Sound
The e 908 B uses an electret condenser capsule voiced to bring out the musical detail and articulation of brass, woodwind and percussion. It delivers a lively, open sound with excellent definition, helping your instrument sit clearly in the mix without sounding harsh or artificial.
Flexible Clip On Mounting
A long, flexible gooseneck and secure universal clip let you position the capsule exactly where your instrument sounds best. Whether you are miking a sax bell, trombone slide area or the head of a conga, you can quickly dial in consistent placement without relying on traditional mic stands.
Ready for Loud, Demanding Stages
With high maximum SPL handling and excellent transient response, the e 908 B is built for powerful, energetic performances. It captures fast attacks and dynamic playing with ease, while the shock mounted capsule helps suppress handling and mechanical noise for a cleaner signal.
MZA 900 P Preamp Included
The included MZA 900 P preamp provides phantom power and a level check function via a standard 3 pin XLR connection. This makes integration with professional mixers and stage boxes straightforward, ensuring a strong, reliable signal path for live sound and rehearsal setups.
Features
- Clip On Design for Brass, Woodwind and Percussion - Purpose built for saxophone, trombone, congas and floating drums, the e 908 B attaches directly to your instrument so the mic moves with you. This keeps your sound consistent, even when you change position or move around the stage.
- Flexible Gooseneck with Universal Clip - The long, adjustable gooseneck and secure clip make it easy to find the sweet spot on a wide range of instruments. Once in place, the mount stays put, giving you reliable positioning from song to song and gig to gig.
- Lively Electret Condenser Capsule - The cardioid condenser capsule offers a bright, defined tone with strong rejection of off axis sound. This helps reduce bleed from other instruments and monitors, giving front of house engineers more control over your individual mix.
- Rugged, Road Ready Construction - Designed for real world use, the e 908 B combines a slim, lightweight form factor with a robust build. The shock mounted capsule and durable components are made to withstand regular setup, teardown and transport.
