Product Description
The Sennheiser e 865 S is a professional supercardioid electret condenser microphone designed for demanding live vocals, spoken word and presenting. Combining studio grade detail with rugged stage ready construction, it delivers a clear, natural sound that cuts through loud mixes while remaining sensitive to every nuance of your performance, with the added convenience of an integrated on and off switch.
As part of Sennheiser’s acclaimed evolution series, the e 865 S brings condenser clarity to the stage in a tough, all metal package. Its tight supercardioid pickup pattern focuses on your voice and helps reject unwanted spill from drums, amps and monitors, making it ideal for busy stages, conferences and houses of worship. With a wide 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and superb transient handling, it captures the full character of your voice, from subtle inflections to powerful peaks.
Built to handle high sound pressure levels, the e 865 S stays composed even when singers push their volume, maintaining definition without harshness. The steel inlet basket and robust body are engineered to withstand the rigours of touring and regular gigging, while the switch lets performers or engineers mute the mic quickly when needed.
Whether you are a lead vocalist, moderator, presenter or speaker, the Sennheiser e 865 S offers a refined, articulate sound in a microphone that is ready for life on the road.
Condenser Clarity for Live Vocals
The e 865 S uses an electret condenser capsule to deliver a detailed, natural sound that reveals the true character of your voice. Its extended 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and fast transient response capture breath, articulation and dynamics with precision, helping vocals sit clearly in the mix without excessive EQ.
Supercardioid Focus and Feedback Control
A tight supercardioid pickup pattern keeps the focus firmly on the source in front of the mic, reducing bleed from nearby instruments and monitors. This improved isolation helps increase gain before feedback, giving engineers more control and performers greater confidence on loud stages or in acoustically challenging rooms.
Rugged Evolution Series Construction
With a robust all metal housing and tough steel inlet basket, the e 865 S is built to cope with the knocks and bumps of regular live use. Its solid construction makes it a reliable choice for touring acts, venues and rental companies that need consistent performance night after night.
Integrated On and Off Switch
The e 865 S variant includes a convenient on and off switch on the body of the microphone. This allows performers, moderators and presenters to mute the mic quickly between songs or segments, helping reduce unwanted noise and giving simple, hands on control during live events.
