Sabian 24" Stratus Dry Ride Cymbal

The Sabian 24" STRATUS Dry Ride is a modern, dark ride cymbal that delivers a huge, low-pitched wash while staying remarkably controlled. Its large 24 inch size gives you a deep, immersive spread, but the lightweight build keeps it responsive under the stick, with a hammered bell that cuts clearly through the mix.

Designed for drummers who want all the scale and drama of a big ride without it taking over the entire kit sound, the STRATUS Dry Ride offers a wide, low wash that sits underneath your playing rather than on top of it. The controlled sustain means you can lean into the cymbal for big choruses or open sections and still keep definition in your patterns, making it ideal for modern rock, indie, worship, fusion and beyond.

The lightweight feel makes this 24 inch ride surprisingly nimble. It reacts quickly to lighter touches and dynamic playing, so you can move from tight, articulate ride patterns to open, washy textures just by adjusting your touch. The hammered bell adds a focused, musical ping that speaks clearly for accents and timekeeping, giving you a versatile centrepiece cymbal that can cover a wide range of musical situations.

With its dark tone, wide spread and controlled decay, the Sabian STRATUS 24" Dry Ride is a powerful option if you want a big, atmospheric ride sound that still leaves space for the rest of the band.

Modern Dark, Dry Character

The STRATUS Dry Ride is voiced with a modern dark tonality and a drier character that keeps the sound focused. This helps your ride patterns remain clear and musical, even when the cymbal is generating a wide wash, making it easier to sit comfortably in contemporary mixes.

Huge 24" Size with Low-Pitched Wash

The large 24 inch diameter produces a deep, low-pitched wash with a wide spread, giving your playing a sense of scale and space. This is perfect when you want the ride to feel big and cinematic, without resorting to overly bright or piercing tones.

Lightweight, Responsive Feel

Despite its size, the cymbal is built with a lighter weight profile, which keeps it responsive and expressive under the stick. This makes it easier to control dynamics, from soft, shimmering patterns to more aggressive riding, without the cymbal feeling sluggish.

Controlled Sustain with Articulate Bell

The STRATUS Dry Ride is designed to offer controlled sustain, so the cymbal does not overwhelm your sound with endless ring. The hammered bell provides clear, defined articulation for accents and timekeeping, giving you strong definition when you need it.

• Modern Dark, Dry Tonality - A contemporary dark voice with a drier character keeps your ride sound focused and musical, helping it blend smoothly into modern band mixes without becoming harsh or overpowering.

• Lightweight, Expressive Response - The lighter construction makes the cymbal quick to respond to your touch, allowing for nuanced dynamic control and making it easier to shift between tight patterns and open textures.
