Product Description
The Sabian 20" Artisan Crash in Brilliant Finish is a thin, hand hammered crash that delivers a fast, dark and richly complex response. Designed for drummers who want depth and musicality from every stroke, it opens up instantly with a full, warm tone that sits beautifully in acoustic, jazz and more refined rock or pop settings.
Remastered for enhanced complexity, this 20" Artisan Crash offers an inspiring blend of speed, depth and tonal colour. The high-density hand hammering and raw bell design give it a uniquely expressive voice, while the brilliant finish adds visual sparkle under stage lights without sacrificing its dark, traditional character.
On the kit, the Artisan Crash feels incredibly responsive under the stick, with a quick, smooth decay that never gets in the way of the music. It is versatile enough to serve as a main crash or a larger secondary colour, giving you a wide dynamic range from whisper-quiet swells to powerful accents that still sound controlled and musical.
Whether you are recording detailed, nuanced parts in the studio or shaping an atmospheric live sound, the Sabian 20" Artisan Crash offers the kind of characterful, complex tone that rewards touch and dynamics. It is a premium choice for players who value feel, subtlety and a truly handcrafted cymbal sound.
Fast, Dark and Complex Response
The Artisan Crash is voiced for a fast, dark response with rich complexity, so every hit produces a layered, musical wash rather than a harsh blast of volume. This makes it ideal for players who want their crashes to blend with the kit and the band, adding depth and mood without overpowering the mix.
High-Density Hand Hammering
Extensive hand hammering shapes the cymbal’s profile and tension, creating a highly complex, organic tone. This handcrafted approach gives each cymbal a unique personality and a more expressive feel under the stick, perfect for drummers who play with nuance and rely on their cymbals to respond to the smallest dynamic changes.
Raw Bell for Extra Character
The raw, unlathed bell adds articulation and tonal depth, giving you clear, defined bell sounds that cut through while still matching the dark character of the bow. This makes the cymbal more versatile on the kit, letting you move seamlessly from atmospheric crashes to focused bell patterns without changing cymbals.
Brilliant Finish with Traditional Soul
The brilliant finish brings out the visual appeal of the cymbal, catching the light on stage and in the studio, while the underlying Artisan design keeps the sound rooted in dark, traditional character. You get a cymbal that looks modern and premium but still delivers the warm, complex voice associated with classic hand crafted bronze.
