RCF NXL 14-A Column PA With 15-AX Subs

What is an "RCF Approved" Bundle? This is just one of a number of packages that the Andertons team have been working on in collaboration with the expert technicians and product specialists at RCF, with the goal of curating a series of PA rigs that cover everything from solo performers right up to full band performances.

Product Description

RCF Says:

"A sleek, modern PA system that delivers big sound from a minimal footprint. Two NXL 14-A active column speakers provide wide, even coverage with impressive output and a discreet profile, while dual SUB 15-AX subwoofers add DSP-controlled bass with Advanced Crossover Engine integration. Ideal for venues where aesthetics matter as much as performance."

Where This System Excels

If you need professional PA performance without the visual bulk of traditional point-source speakers on poles, this is your system. The NXL 14-A is RCF's most compact active column speaker — a slim, elegant enclosure that sits neatly on top of a subwoofer or stand and delivers wide, even horizontal coverage with remarkably controlled vertical dispersion. At just 12.8 kg per cabinet, it's also exceptionally easy to transport and position.

The column format is particularly effective in reflective spaces — function rooms, churches, corporate venues, and licensed premises where parallel walls and hard surfaces can cause traditional PA systems to sound cluttered. The NXL 14-A's narrow vertical dispersion keeps sound off the ceiling and floor, reducing reflections and improving intelligibility significantly. Paired with the DSP-equipped SUB 15-AX, this is a system that looks refined and sounds authoritative — suitable for events up to around 200 people.

RCF NXL 14-A Active Column Loudspeakers

The NXL 14-A is the most compact speaker in RCF's NXL active column series, and it packs a surprising amount of professional capability into its slim enclosure. Inside, two 6" neodymium woofers and a 1.75" neodymium compression driver with PKX dome are powered by a 2100W peak bi-amplified Class-D amplifier, covering 70 Hz to 20 kHz with a maximum SPL of 128 dB.

The column architecture delivers 100 degrees of horizontal dispersion — covering a wide room evenly — while restricting vertical spread to just 70 degrees. This focused vertical pattern is the key acoustic advantage of column speakers in reverberant spaces: it puts sound where your audience is and keeps it off reflective surfaces above and below. FiRPHASE technology maintains phase coherence across the frequency range, and Bass Motion Control protects the woofers at the low end. The 1200 Hz crossover point allows the compression driver to cover a wide upper-frequency range, contributing to the NXL 14-A's clear, detailed vocal reproduction.

Versatile Deployment

The NXL 14-A mounts directly on a subwoofer pole, on a floor stand, or can be wall or ceiling mounted using optional brackets — making it equally suited to touring use and semi-permanent installation. Controls for Linear, Boost, Stage, and Volume presets are accessible on the rear panel. At 12.8 kg, it's one of the lightest 2100W active PA speakers in its class.

RCF SUB 15-AX Active Subwoofers

The SUB 15-AX brings the full RCF AX DSP platform to a 15" active subwoofer, and it's an ideal match for the NXL 14-A. A 2200W peak Class-D amplifier drives the 15" driver down to 35 Hz with a maximum SPL of 133 dB, providing a powerful and controlled low-end foundation that the compact column tops alone cannot replicate.

The Advanced Crossover Engine (ACE) is the headline feature: factory-tuned crossover presets engineered for RCF's FiRPHASE full-range speakers ensure that the phase and timing relationship between the SUB 15-AX and the NXL 14-A is precisely optimised without any manual adjustment. The 2.4-inch colour touch panel provides access to 8-band parametric EQ, cardioid configuration mode, up to 45 metres of delay, and eight recallable snapshots. Wireless control of up to eight AX devices is available via the RCF LiveRemote app on iOS and Android. PowerCON TRUE1 TOP locking mains connectors and polyurea-coated hardwood plywood construction make it equally suitable for touring and installation.
