RCF ART 708-A Mk5 Ultra Compact PA With 702-AS Subs

What is an "RCF Approved" Bundle? This is just one of a number of packages that the Andertons team have been working on in collaboration with the expert technicians and product specialists at RCF, with the goal of curating a series of PA rigs that cover everything from solo performers right up to full band performances

Product Description

RCF Says:

"The most portable entry in the ART 7 MK5 family, but don't let the size fool you. Two ART 708-A MK5 tops deliver focused, articulate coverage from an ultra-compact 8" enclosure, while dual SUB 702-AS MK3 subwoofers provide a surprisingly capable low-end foundation. Lightweight, fast to set up, and ideal for performers and mobile DJs who need a clean, professional sound without the bulk."

Where This System Excels

This is the bundle for performers who need real PA performance but have a car boot to fill and a back to look after. The ART 708-A MK5 is the most compact speaker in RCF's ART 7 MK5 lineup, but it shares the same amplifier architecture and DSP platform as the rest of the range — 1400W peak Class-D amplification, XBOOST processing, and Bass Motion Control, in a cabinet that weighs a fraction of what you'd expect for its output level.

Pair it with two SUB 702-AS MK3 compact 12" subwoofers and you have a complete, full-range rig that fits easily into a small vehicle and takes minutes to set up. It's perfectly matched for events where portability is the priority — smaller venues, wedding receptions, private parties, corporate presentations — and audiences of up to around 100 people. A genuinely impressive amount of PA in a very manageable package.

RCF ART 708-A MK5 Active Loudspeakers

The ART 708-A MK5 is the most compact and portable speaker in RCF's ART 7 MK5 series, and it brings the full ART 7 amplifier platform to an 8" format. A 1400W peak Class-D amplifier drives the 8" woofer and 1" compression driver across a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum SPL of 128 dB.

XBOOST processing adds low-mid richness that makes the speaker sound noticeably fuller than its compact dimensions suggest. Bass Motion Control manages the woofer's low-frequency excursion, keeping the output clean and controlled even when you push the volume. The MIC/Line input with boost makes it easy to use as a self-contained PA, while the XLR link output lets you chain the system through the subwoofers without additional cabling. The PP composite cabinet is light enough to carry in one hand and the M20 pole socket sits cleanly on top of the SUB 702-AS MK3 below it.

Built for Mobile Use

At a fraction of the weight of a traditional 12" PA speaker, the ART 708-A MK5 is specifically designed for performers who set up and tear down regularly. Convection cooling means no fan noise, keeping the speaker quiet enough for intimate acoustic performances. It's an 8" speaker that genuinely earns its place in a professional setup.

RCF SUB 702-AS MK3 Active Subwoofers

The SUB 702-AS MK3 is a compact 12" active subwoofer that pairs naturally with the ART 708-A MK5. A 1400W peak Class-D amplifier drives the 12" woofer down to 40 Hz, with a maximum SPL of 129 dB — an impressive figure for a subwoofer this size and weight. The Baltic birch plywood cabinet is solidly built and the M20 pole mount on top accepts the ART 708-A MK5 directly.

Rear-panel controls for Volume, EQ, Phase, and Crossover frequency allow straightforward optimisation for the room, while Bass Motion Control ensures the woofer stays accurate and undistorted at the low end. For a system this portable, the SUB 702-AS MK3 delivers low-end authority that comfortably exceeds expectations.
