Product Description
The PRS Wood Library McCarty in Vintage Yellow is a premium, hand-selected take on one of PRS’s most revered designs. With a stunning figured flame maple top, matching stained flame maple neck and a classic mahogany body, this exclusive build blends boutique looks with inspiring, vintage-flavoured tone. PRS McCarty humbuckers, a PRS Gen III tremolo and flexible switching make it a serious workhorse for studio and stage.
Every element of this Wood Library McCarty has been chosen to offer a more elevated playing experience. The highly figured maple not only looks incredible but adds snap and clarity to the warm mahogany core, while the Pattern neck profile and rosewood fingerboard feel instantly familiar under the fingers. Whether you are chasing singing lead tones, articulate rhythm sounds or expressive tremolo textures, this guitar is built to respond effortlessly.
Tonally, the McCarty humbuckers deliver a rich, vintage-inspired voice with plenty of harmonic content and dynamic range. The combination of a three way toggle and two mini switches gives you a wide palette of sounds, from thick rock crunch to more open, nuanced textures. Add in the stability and smooth feel of the PRS Gen III tremolo and you have a versatile, professional instrument that is ready for anything from blues and classic rock through to modern worship and fusion.
As a Wood Library instrument, this McCarty benefits from premium selected tonewoods and an eye catching aesthetic that sets it apart from standard production models. The Vintage Yellow finish, wrapped around both the top and the figured maple neck, gives it a cohesive, custom shop vibe that will appeal to collectors and serious players alike.
Vintage Yellow Aesthetic
The highly figured flame maple top finished in Vintage Yellow gives this McCarty a bold, classic PRS look that stands out under stage lights. The matching stained flame maple neck ties the whole instrument together visually, creating a cohesive, boutique appearance that feels every bit as special as it looks.
Wood Library Tonewoods
Hand selected Wood Library tonewoods pair a resonant mahogany body with a figured flame maple top and neck. This combination delivers a warm, full low end with added snap, definition and sustain from the maple, giving you a responsive, lively instrument that rewards every nuance of your playing.
McCarty Humbucker Versatility
Equipped with PRS McCarty humbuckers in both the neck and bridge positions, this guitar serves up rich, vintage inspired tones with plenty of clarity. The volume and tone controls, three way toggle and two mini switches provide a wide range of usable sounds, making it easy to move from thick rock crunch to articulate cleans without changing guitars.
PRS Gen III Tremolo
The PRS Gen III tremolo bridge offers smooth, expressive pitch control while helping to maintain tuning stability. Its refined design maximises contact with the body for strong sustain and resonance, so you can use the tremolo musically without sacrificing tone or feel.
