Contemporary playability

Built around a 25.5" scale length, the Tekton Floyd moves away from PRS's traditional 25" formula in favour of a little extra string tension. This makes it particularly well suited to tight, rapid-fire riffing, technical lead work and drop tunings. A slim-yet-substantial Modern "D" Maple neck with a satin finish, 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets and a flat 16"-radius Ebony fingerboard combine to deliver a lightning-fast playing experience.

Comfortable offset design

The PRS Tekton Floyd's Alder body sports a sleek, subtly offset shape inspired by both the Vela and flagship Custom models. PRS has slimmed things down to reduce weight and cut a deep lower horn scoop that makes reaching the highest frets an absolute doddle. Featuring PRS's signature shallow violin carve and an eye-catching finish, it looks every bit as refined as it feels in your hands.

PRS Stylus pickups: clarity without compromise

Powering the Tekton “Floyd” is a set of PRS Stylus humbuckers, developed specifically for this family of guitars. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, they're voiced to sound aggressive but with exceptional note separation, serving up crystal-clear tones whether you're running pristine cleans or saturated high-gain distortion through a valve amp or modern modeller.

They're by no means flat-response pickups, but they do have a slightly flatter EQ curve and lower output than other PRS humbuckers. That's so they retain plenty of character while catering more to digital amp setups. Better still, every pickup position (including the split-coil sounds) has been carefully tuned, giving you a flexible palette of genuinely useful tones.

Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo

As its name suggests, the Tekton “Floyd” comes equipped with a recessed Floyd Rose tremolo system. It gives you the freedom to confidently perform everything from dramatic dive bombs and flutter effects to pitch-raising squeals without going out of tune.
