Fender Player Series Telecaster Guitars

Fender’s most accessible instrument range offers heaps of choice and contemporary aesthetics that’ll stand out from any crowd.

Fender Player Series Telecaster Guitars

The Fender Telecaster is one of the first mass-produced electric guitars dating back to 1951. The Player series Teles are among Fender’s most affordable instruments. Made in Mexico, they aim to offer players choice, quality and great design at an accessible price point – and that they do!

For the Player Series, Fender reworked their popular Mexican range of electrics. Key tweaks include:

  • Satin finished necks – comfortable to hold and play. The Satin finish will just let you fly up and down the fretboard with ease.
  • Improved Pickups – re-designed pickups simultaneously achieve Fender’s legendary chime and clarity without sacrificing. Voiced to handle overdrive better than ever.
  • Pau Ferro Fretboards – the CITES Rosewood restriction meant a rush for alternative tonewoods. Pau Ferro emerged as a decent substitute, particular for fretboards.
  • 22 Frets – previously, Fender Mex models only had 21 frets like the guitars of old. This has been done away with and you have the extra fret to give you that extra squeal and note should you need it for your big guitar solo.

The American Player Tele range features a number of pickup configurations and finishes. But as the name suggests, these are accessible workhorse instruments that tick just about every box without breaking the bank. Check out the full American Player Tele range below!
