Product Description
The Pearl Primal Series 14x6.5 Copper Shell Snare Drum is built for drummers who need a powerful, characterful voice that simply gets the job done. Its beaded 1 mm copper shell delivers deep, complex tone with a distinctive warmth and bite, making it a superb choice for advancing players and working drummers who want a snare that stands out in any mix without relying on gimmicks.
Designed around a pure, foundational format, this Primal Series snare focuses on fundamental sound and reliable performance. With triple flanged hoops, dedicated Primal lugs and a brushed copper finish, it offers a responsive, musical playing experience that works in rehearsal rooms, studios and on stage alike.
Pure Copper Power
At the heart of this snare is its beaded 1 mm copper shell, voiced to occupy its own space in the sonic spectrum. Copper offers a darker, more complex character than steel or brass, with a rich low-mid presence and smooth highs. The result is a drum that feels full and musical at all dynamics, from tight, articulate ghost notes to huge backbeats.
Gig Ready and Straightforward
The Primal Series concept is all about honest, usable tone without unnecessary frills. This snare is made to be played in any environment, with a focus on projection, clarity and tuning stability. You get a reliable workhorse that is quick to dial in and consistent night after night, ideal for busy gigging schedules.
Responsive Hardware
Fitted with PSCL55 lugs, triple flanged hoops and Pearl SR-01 snare hardware, this drum offers smooth, precise tensioning and a sensitive snare response. The combination of hoops and strainer lets you fine tune the feel and articulation, whether you prefer a crisp, cutting snap or a fatter, more laid back sound.
Brushed Copper Aesthetic
The brushed copper finish not only complements the drum’s tonal personality but also gives it a distinctive, understated look on the kit. It is a visually striking yet tasteful centrepiece that suits a wide range of musical styles and stage setups.
Features
- Beaded 1 mm Copper Shell - The thin copper shell delivers deep, warm tone with complex overtones and a strong low-mid presence, helping your backbeat sit perfectly in the mix while still cutting through.
- 14x6.5 Inch Versatile Size - The extra depth adds body, punch and projection, making this snare ideal for rock, pop, worship and studio work where you need both power and sensitivity.
- Triple Flanged Hoops - Classic triple flanged hoops offer an open, resonant feel with comfortable rimshots and cross-stick sounds, giving you a wide tuning range from tight and cracking to low and fat.
- Dedicated Primal Hardware - PSCL55 lugs, SR-01ERSH snares and SR-01NRS strainer provide smooth, reliable operation and precise adjustment, so you can focus on playing rather than fighting your drum.
