Product Description

The Mesa Boogie 90s Dual Rectifier Standard is an all-valve 100 watt head that defined the sound of modern high gain. Built in Petaluma, California, it delivers everything from glassy cleans to saturated, percussive distortion with the unmistakable feel and authority that made the original Rectifiers a studio and stage staple.

With two fully independent channels, three iconic modes and selectable tube or silicon diode rectification, this head gives you the flexibility to cover classic rock, tight modern metal and everything in between. A tube-driven effects loop, multiple speaker outputs and a dedicated slave out make it easy to integrate into any rig, whether you are running a simple cab setup or a more complex wet/dry system.

Inside, a quartet of 6L6 power valves, five 12AX7 preamp valves and a pair of 5U4GB rectifier valves deliver the muscular low end, aggressive midrange and singing sustain that made the Dual Rectifier a legend. The fixed bias design keeps maintenance simple, while the Bold / Spongy variac switch lets you fine-tune the feel from tight and immediate to looser and more vintage.

Housed in a rugged marine-grade Baltic birch shell with Black Bronco vinyl and the unmistakable polished aluminium diamond plate grille, the 90s Dual Rectifier Standard looks every bit as brutal as it sounds. Fan cooling keeps things stable under stage lights, and the included footswitch and slipcover mean you are ready to roll straight out of the box.

Iconic Dual Rectifier Tone

The 90s Dual Rectifier Standard is voiced for the aggressive, saturated sound that shaped countless rock and metal records. The combination of 6L6 power valves, cascading 12AX7 gain stages and selectable tube or silicon diode rectification gives you thick low end, cutting mids and a smooth top that stays articulate even at extreme gain settings.

Flexible Two Channel, Three Mode Layout

Two fully independent channels with three selectable modes Clean, Vintage High Gain and Modern High Gain let you build a complete live or studio rig from a single head. Each channel has its own Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Presence and Master controls, so you can set up everything from sparkling cleans and edge-of-breakup crunch to tight rhythm distortion and singing lead tones.

Powerful Feel and Response Shaping

The Bold / Spongy variac switch and selectable rectifier type allow you to dial in the exact response you want. Run Bold with silicon diodes for maximum headroom, punch and attack, or switch to Spongy with tube rectifiers for a softer feel, more sag and a vintage style compression that is perfect for expressive lead work.

Road Ready Construction and Connectivity

Built in Petaluma using a marine grade Baltic birch cabinet, the 90s Dual Rectifier Standard is designed to handle life on the road. Multiple speaker outputs cover 4, 8 and 16 ohm cabs, while the tube-driven series effects loop and level controlled slave output make it easy to integrate pedals, rack effects and additional power amps into your setup.

Features
  • 100 Watt All Valve Power - A 100 watt all tube power section built around 4x 6L6 valves delivers huge headroom, massive low end and the authority to cut through any mix, from small clubs to large stages.
  • 2 Channels with 3 Classic Modes - Two independent channels and three modes Clean, Vintage High Gain and Modern High Gain give you a complete palette of tones, allowing you to move from shimmering cleans to tight, modern distortion at the tap of a footswitch.
  • Selectable Tube or Silicon Diode Rectification - Choose between tube rectifiers for a softer, more compressed feel or silicon diodes for a tighter, faster response, tailoring the amp to your playing style and genre.
  • Comprehensive Connectivity - A tube-driven series effects loop, multiple speaker outputs and a level controlled slave out make it easy to hook up cabs, pedals, rack gear and additional power amps, so the amp can adapt to simple and complex rigs alike.
