Product Description
The Meinl SB700 Waxed 7A Drumsticks are a refined, responsive pair of sticks crafted from American hickory, designed for drummers who want light, agile feel with a solid, articulate sound. A thin wax coating enhances grip and adds a subtle vintage aesthetic, while the acorn tip and carefully matched weight and tone ensure consistent performance on both drums and cymbals.
With their slim 7A profile and heavy weight selection, these sticks offer a unique blend of speed and impact. The result is a stick that feels nimble in the hand yet delivers a clear, defined response, ideal for styles where precision, control and musical nuance are essential.
Every pair is made in Germany from quality American hickory, then matched by weight and tone so each stick in the pair feels and sounds as close as possible. Whether you are working on detailed ride patterns, ghost notes or dynamic accents, the SB700 gives you a reliable, balanced tool that helps your playing stay consistent from rehearsal to stage.
Waxed Grip with Vintage Look
A thin layer of wax on the surface of the SB700 provides a more secure, comfortable grip without feeling sticky or bulky. This helps reduce slippage as your hands warm up, supporting relaxed technique and control over longer sessions. The wax also gives the sticks a tasteful, vintage-inspired appearance that stands out from bare wood finishes.
Clear and Articulate Response
The acorn-shaped tip and carefully selected heavy weight work together to produce a crisp, articulate stick sound on both cymbals and drums. Ride patterns speak clearly, hi-hats cut through the mix, and drum strokes feel defined and controlled, helping your playing remain precise at any dynamic level.
Balanced Feel with 7A Dimensions
With a slim 7A diameter, the SB700 feels fast and agile in the hand, ideal for lighter styles, intricate patterns and players who prefer a more compact stick. The added weight selection gives each stroke a satisfying presence, offering a responsive feel that supports both subtle touches and more assertive accents.
Matched Pairs, Made in Germany
Each pair of SB700 sticks is matched by weight and tone, so both sticks respond as evenly as possible. This consistency helps your hands feel balanced and your sound remain uniform across the kit. Made in Germany from American hickory, these sticks combine reliable materials with precise manufacturing for dependable performance.
