Product Description
The Meinl Waxed 5A Drumstick in American Hickory is designed for drummers who want a comfortable, secure grip and a clear, articulate response on both drums and cymbals. A thin wax coating gives these sticks a subtle vintage look while helping them stay firmly in your hands, whether you are in a sweaty rehearsal room or under hot stage lights.
Made from durable American Hickory and matched by weight and tone, each pair feels balanced and consistent straight out of the packet. The medium weight and acorn tip deliver a versatile sound that works across multiple genres, from tight pop grooves to more dynamic rock and fusion playing.
With a familiar 5A size, 406 mm length and a 14.4 mm diameter, these sticks sit comfortably in the hand and respond quickly to every nuance of your technique. The result is a stick that feels natural, sounds musical and helps you play with confidence in any setting.
Waxed Finish for Confident Grip
A thin layer of wax on the surface of the stick provides extra grip without feeling sticky or heavy. This helps reduce slippage as your hands warm up, so you can relax your grip, play more fluidly and maintain control through fast passages and longer sets. The wax also gives the sticks a tasteful, vintage-inspired appearance.
Clear, Articulate Stick Response
The combination of American Hickory and an acorn-shaped tip gives these sticks a crisp, defined response on both cymbals and drumheads. Ride patterns speak clearly, ghost notes remain controlled, and accents cut through the mix, helping your playing stay precise and expressive in any musical context.
Matched by Weight and Tone
Each pair is carefully matched by weight and tone, so both sticks feel and sound as close to identical as possible. This consistency supports even hands, balanced sticking and reliable rebound, making it easier to develop your technique and maintain a solid groove.
Durable American Hickory Construction
Crafted from American Hickory, these sticks offer an ideal blend of strength, flexibility and shock absorption. The wood helps reduce hand and wrist fatigue while standing up to regular practice and performance, giving you a dependable pair of sticks you can reach for day after day.
