Product Description
The Meinl Sonic Energy Pangi Shaker Small is a characterful, natural percussion instrument made from real pangi seed nutshells mounted on a comfortable wrist strap. With its powerful, deep sound, it is ideal for adding earthy rhythmic textures to larger ensembles, drum circles, sound baths, and group performances.
Simply slip the strap over your wrist and move your hand, arm, or entire body to bring the shaker to life. The organic shells respond to even subtle movements, giving you a wide dynamic range from gentle rustle to full, driving shake. Whether you are a percussionist, music therapist, or sound healer, this compact shaker offers an expressive way to enrich your rhythmic palette.
Because it is crafted from natural materials, every Pangi Shaker is visually unique, with its own variations in colour, grain, and texture. These natural features are part of the instrument’s charm, making each one a one of a kind piece. With simple care and storage away from heat, direct sunlight, and extreme climate conditions, it will remain a reliable companion in your percussion toolkit.
Powerful, Deep Sonic Character
The pangi seed nutshells produce a surprisingly deep, full-bodied sound that cuts through in larger musical settings. This makes the shaker particularly effective in ensembles and group performances, where its low, earthy tone can be clearly felt within the overall mix without becoming harsh or overpowering.
Hands-Free Playing Comfort
A soft, comfortable wrist strap keeps the shaker securely in place, leaving your fingers free for other instruments or gestures. This hands-free design is especially useful for multi-instrumentalists, facilitators, and performers who need to move, conduct, or play additional percussion while still maintaining a steady shaker groove.
Natural Look and Feel
Made from genuine pangi seed nutshells, each shaker has its own natural markings, colour variations, and subtle imperfections. Features such as knots, resin marks, and fine cracks are not defects but signs of authenticity, giving you an instrument with a truly organic aesthetic that fits beautifully into acoustic, meditative, and world music contexts.
Compact and Lightweight
Weighing around 100 g, the Pangi Shaker Small is light enough for extended playing sessions without fatigue, yet substantial enough to feel secure and responsive on the wrist. Its compact size makes it easy to transport, so you can bring its distinctive sound to rehearsals, workshops, and performances with minimal fuss.
