Meinl HCS 8" Inch Bell

The Meinl HCS 8" Bell is a compact, solid brass effect cymbal that delivers a bright, cutting "ping" with a long, musical sustain. Designed as part of Meinl’s popular HCS range, it offers an affordable way to expand your drum or percussion setup with a distinctive, attention-grabbing voice that works in rock, pop, metal and beyond.

Crafted from Meinl’s MS63 brass alloy and finished to the same standard as the rest of the HCS series, this 8" bell is built to project clearly over the band while remaining controlled and easy to place in a mix. Whether you are accenting breakdowns, marking song sections or adding colour to grooves and fills, the HCS 8" Bell gives you a focused, shimmering tone that stands out without overpowering the kit.

Because it is part of the HCS family, the HCS 8" Bell is specially matched to sit naturally alongside other HCS cymbals. That means you can drop it straight into an existing setup and enjoy a cohesive overall sound, with the bell cutting through when you need it and blending smoothly when you play more subtly. It is a simple, effective way to add pro-style effects to your kit at a price that suits students, rehearsal rooms and working drummers alike.

From punchy ride-style bell patterns to sharp stabs and accents, this medium-weight 8" model responds quickly and consistently wherever you strike it. Mounted above your hi hats, next to your ride or on its own stand, it invites creativity and encourages you to explore new textures and ideas in your playing.

Bright, Sustaining Ping

The HCS 8" Bell produces a clear, high-pitched "ping" with a long, singing sustain, ideal for cutting accents and defined patterns. Its focused tone helps your parts be heard in louder band settings while still sounding musical and controlled.

MS63 Brass Alloy

Made from Meinl’s MS63 brass alloy, this bell offers a lively, responsive feel with plenty of shimmer and attack. The alloy helps deliver a consistent sound across the HCS range, so your bell integrates smoothly with your crashes, rides and hats.

Specially Matched to the HCS Series

As part of the HCS family, the 8" Bell is specially matched to complement other HCS cymbals tonally. This makes it easy to build a balanced, great-sounding setup where every cymbal works together, giving you a cohesive overall kit sound.
