Built from durable MS63 brass alloy, it delivers a warm wash with a clear stick definition and a focused bell, making it a dependable centrepiece for your first kit or practice setup.
Voiced to be easy on the ears and simple to control, the HCS 20" Ride offers a balanced tone that sits comfortably in band mixes without overpowering the rest of your kit. Whether you are playing rock, pop, worship, or rehearsing at home, this cymbal gives you a solid, defined ping for timekeeping and a musical bell that cuts when you need it.
Because it is part of Meinl's HCS range, this ride is specially matched to work well with other HCS cymbals, helping you build a cohesive, great-sounding setup piece by piece. With unbeatable value for money, it is a smart upgrade from stock cymbals and a reliable choice for students, schools and rehearsal rooms.
If you are looking for a ride cymbal that combines clarity, warmth and durability at a price that will not break the bank, the Meinl HCS 20" Ride is a strong contender. It gives you the core sounds you need to develop your technique and confidence behind the kit.
Clean, Defined Ride Ping
The HCS 20" Ride is voiced for a clear, defined stick sound, so your ride patterns stay articulate and easy to hear. This helps you lock in with the rest of the band and develop precise timekeeping, especially important for beginners learning consistent technique.
Musical Bell for Accents
With a nice, cutting bell, this ride makes it easy to add accents and dynamic lifts within your grooves and fills. The bell speaks clearly without being harsh, giving you an extra voice on the kit for musical punctuation and rhythmic interest.
Warm, Versatile Tone
The overall sound is clean and warm, with a controlled wash that suits a wide range of genres. This versatility means you can use the same ride across rehearsals, lessons and gigs in different styles, making it a practical choice as your main cymbal.
Unbeatable Value for Learners
Made from robust MS63 alloy and tuned for musicality, the HCS 20" Ride offers excellent value at its price point. It is an ideal step up from basic starter cymbals, giving students and developing drummers a more inspiring sound without a big investment.
