Meinl Cymbals HCS 8" Micro Stack Hi Hats

The Meinl HCS 8" Micro Stack Hi Hats are a compact, high pitched effect pair designed to cut through any mix with sharp, explosive accents. Combining a heavy bottom cymbal with a lighter top, this unique stacked hi hat configuration delivers a tight, aggressive sound that is perfect for fast punctuation, timekeeping in dense arrangements, and creative layering within your main kit.

Part of Meinl's HCS range, the HCS8H Micro Stack Hi Hats are precision made in Germany using computer controlled manufacturing for consistent quality and reliable performance. Their small 8" diameter keeps the sound focused and immediate, giving you quick, trashy bursts of tone that respond instantly to your touch. Whether you are playing live or recording, these hats offer a distinctive voice that helps your grooves stand out.

With a medium heavy weight and stacked design, the HCS 8" Micro Stack Hi Hats excel at short, staccato sounds that do not get in the way of the rest of your cymbals. They are ideal for modern styles where intricate patterns, tight loops and rapid fire accents are essential. Mounted close to your snare or main hats, they become an inspiring creative tool that encourages new ideas and rhythmic textures.

If you need a compact, cutting effect cymbal that stays controlled at all volumes, the Meinl HCS8H Micro Stack Hi Hats offer a practical and affordable way to expand your sonic palette. Their focused tone, quick decay and reliable build make them a smart addition for drummers looking to add definition and excitement to their playing without taking up much space on the kit.

Unique Micro Stack Design

The combination of a heavy bottom cymbal and lighter top in a stacked configuration creates a tight, compressed sound with minimal sustain. This makes it easy to place precise accents without washing out your mix, ideal for busy grooves and detailed patterns.

Cutting, High Pitched Voice

The small 8" size and medium heavy weight produce a bright, high pitched tone that slices through guitars, keys and electronic elements. Your accents remain clearly audible on stage and in the studio, even when the rest of the band is playing full on.

Fast Response for Quick Accents

The compact diameter and controlled decay give an immediate attack and rapid cut off, perfect for fast stabs, syncopated figures and tight off beat hits. This helps you lock in with programmed parts or add crisp definition to live grooves.

Computerised German Manufacturing
