Meinl Cymbal Bacon Heavy

The Meinl Cymbal Bacon Heavy is a simple but seriously effective way to add a lush, sizzling layer to any cymbal in your kit. Featuring a 10.5 inch stainless steel beaded chain that rests on the surface of your cymbal, it delivers that classic rivet-style shimmer without any drilling, permanent modification or risk to your cymbal finish.

Designed to work with virtually any ride, crash or effects cymbal, the Heavy Cymbal Bacon attaches via a thin washer that fits onto any standard cymbal stand. You can position it above or below your cymbal felts, or even run it without felts, to fine-tune the amount of sizzle and response. Whether you are playing jazz, pop, fusion or ambient textures, it gives you instant access to a bigger, more complex cymbal sound that still feels natural under the sticks.

Because it is made from durable stainless steel, the Cymbal Bacon Heavy is built to withstand regular gigging and rehearsal, while its smooth design means it will not scratch or damage your cymbals. It is an ideal option for drummers who want the expressive character of rivets but need the flexibility to remove or reposition the effect in seconds.

From subtle, breathy sustain to a full, trashy wash, this compact accessory opens up a wide range of tonal possibilities without adding bulk to your hardware bag. Drop it on your favourite ride, experiment with different placements, and you will quickly find new voices in cymbals you already own.

Instant Sizzle Without Drilling

The Heavy Cymbal Bacon gives you that classic rivet-style shimmer simply by resting the beaded chain on your cymbal, so there is no need to drill holes or permanently alter your gear. This keeps your cymbals in original condition while still unlocking a rich, musical sizzle whenever you want it.

Compatible with Any Cymbal Stand

A slim washer fitting means the Cymbal Bacon Heavy drops straight onto any standard cymbal stand. You can place it above or below your felts, or run it without felts, making it quick and easy to dial in the feel and response that suits your playing style.

Works with a Wide Range of Cymbals

From brilliant-finished rides and crashes to darker, raw hand-hammered cymbals, the Heavy Cymbal Bacon complements virtually any cymbal voice. It adds a big, filling sizzle that enhances sustain and complexity without overpowering the core tone of the cymbal itself.

Durable Stainless Steel Construction

Crafted from stainless steel, the 10.5 inch beaded chain is built for long-term use while remaining smooth enough not to scratch or harm cymbal finishes. This gives you a reliable, road-ready accessory that you can use night after night with confidence.
