Martin OM-35 Inception Acoustic Guitar

The Martin OM-35 Inception Walnut is a forward-thinking take on the classic Orchestra Model, built to showcase the rich, expressive voice of sustainable tonewoods. With a European spruce top, flamed American white oak and black walnut body, and purpose-designed skeletonised bracing, it delivers a beautifully balanced tone with clarity, warmth, and a strong, articulate midrange that is perfect for contemporary fingerstyle, nuanced strumming, and studio work alike.

By pairing responsibly sourced domestic woods with innovative construction, Martin have created an OM that feels familiar under the hands yet inspires you to explore new sonic territory. The comfortable 000-14 fret body, GE Modified Low Oval neck and premium FSC-certified ebony appointments make it a highly playable, performance-ready instrument that rewards a light touch but has the headroom to handle more aggressive playing when you dig in.

Sustainable Tonewoods, Modern Voice

At the heart of the OM-35 Inception Walnut is a carefully curated blend of sustainable materials. The FSC-certified European spruce top offers a lively, responsive attack with excellent note separation, while the flamed American white oak and black walnut body adds warmth, focus, and a pronounced midrange presence. This combination gives you a modern, articulate acoustic voice that sits beautifully in a mix without losing the organic character players expect from a high-end Martin.

Skeletonised Golden Era Bracing

Martin’s skeletonised Golden Era scalloped X-bracing is engineered specifically for this wood set, reducing mass under the top to let it move more freely. The result is enhanced sustain, improved dynamic response, and a more open, breathing tone that allows the walnut’s character to fully develop. Whether you play softly with fingers or drive it with a pick, the guitar responds with nuance and control.

Comfortable OM Feel

The 000-14 fret body size and 25.4 inch scale length give the OM-35 Inception Walnut a familiar, comfortable feel that suits a wide range of styles. The GE Modified Low Oval neck profile offers a sleek, modern carve that feels fast without being thin, while the 1 3/4 inch nut width provides ample room for complex chord voicings and intricate fingerstyle patterns. It is an instrument designed to feel inspiring from the first chord.

Premium Appointments and Refined Aesthetics

Flamed American white oak binding on the body and fingerboard frames the instrument with a subtle, natural elegance that reflects its thoughtful material choices. FSC-certified ebony is used for the bridge and fingerboard, offering a smooth playing surface and excellent transfer of string energy. Style 28 hex inlays and a faux tortoise pickguard complete the look, giving the guitar a refined, contemporary aesthetic that still nods to Martin tradition.
