Product Description
The Martin GPC-10E Special is a vintage-inspired electro acoustic that blends classic Martin tone with modern playability and stage-ready electronics. With its comfortable Grand Performance cutaway body, all-sapele construction and discreet Matrix VT Enhance pickup system, it is a versatile workhorse for players who want warm, balanced sound and an easy-playing neck in a stylish, understated package.
Featuring a satin Dark Mahogany finish, scalloped X-bracing and Martin’s PA Profile neck with High-Performance Taper, the GPC-10E Special feels instantly familiar in the hands while offering excellent projection and clarity. Whether you are strumming, flatpicking or fingerstyle, it delivers a focused, woody voice that sits beautifully in a mix and responds dynamically to your touch.
Vintage-Inspired Grand Performance Design
The Grand Performance 14-fret cutaway body size offers a sweet spot between a traditional dreadnought and an OM, giving you plenty of volume and low-end presence without feeling oversized. The cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets, making it ideal for modern players who move all over the neck, while the Dark Mahogany finish and minimal appointments keep the look tastefully vintage.
All-Sapele Construction for Warm, Balanced Tone
With sapele used for the top, back and sides, the GPC-10E Special delivers a clear, balanced sound with a strong midrange focus and controlled lows. Sapele’s tonal character sits somewhere between mahogany and maple, giving you warmth and punch without muddiness. Combined with scalloped X-bracing, it offers impressive projection and responsiveness for both light fingerpicking and more aggressive strumming.
Comfortable PA Profile Neck
The PA Profile neck with High-Performance Taper is designed for maximum comfort and playability, whether you are playing intricate chord voicings or single-note lines. A 1 3/4 inch nut width and 25.4 inch scale length provide a familiar feel with ample string spacing, while the hand-applied neck finish keeps things smooth and fast under the fretting hand during longer sessions.
Stage-Ready Matrix VT Enhance Electronics
Equipped with Matrix VT Enhance electronics, this guitar is ready to plug in for live performance or recording. The system is designed to capture the natural acoustic character of the instrument, giving you a clear, dynamic amplified sound that stays true to what you hear unplugged. It is a practical choice for gigging musicians who need reliable, great-sounding electronics built in from the start.
Features
- Grand Performance 14-Fret Cutaway Body - The Grand Performance shape delivers a strong, balanced voice with enough low-end power for strumming and the clarity needed for fingerstyle, while the cutaway lets you comfortably reach higher frets for solos and extended chord voicings.
- All-Sapele Construction - Sapele top, back and sides provide a warm, articulate tone with a focused midrange that works well in band settings and solo performance alike, giving you a consistent, reliable sound across a wide range of styles.
- PA Profile Neck with High-Performance Taper - The comfortable neck carve and modern taper make it easy to move up and down the fretboard, reducing fatigue and helping complex chords, barre shapes and melodic lines feel more natural under the fingers.
- Matrix VT Enhance Electronics - The onboard electronics system offers a natural, expressive amplified tone that reflects the acoustic character of the guitar, making it a practical choice for players who regularly plug in for gigs, rehearsals or studio work.
