Martin 000-28 Shawn Mendes Acoustic Guitar

The Martin 000-28 Shawn Mendes is a beautifully crafted, limited-edition 000-size acoustic that blends vintage Martin character with the personal touch of one of modern pop’s biggest songwriters. With classic Style 28 appointments, premium tonewoods and a comfortable short scale, it is built to inspire players who value rich acoustic tone, timeless aesthetics and true collectability. Limited to just 88 guitars worldwide, each instrument carries Shawn’s signature and a unique numbered label, making it as special to own as it is to play.

At the heart of the 000-28 Shawn Mendes is a solid spruce top finished in a warm antique toner, paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. This tried-and-tested combination delivers a full, balanced voice with clear trebles, rich lows and a detailed midrange that works equally well for fingerstyle, flatpicking and strummed accompaniment. Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, as used on Martin’s Modern Deluxe Series, allows the top to move more freely, giving you extra responsiveness, volume and nuance under the fingers.

Vintage-inspired details run right through the design. The slotted headstock fitted with gold Waverly side-mount tuners provides a classic pre-war look along with smooth, precise tuning. An ebony pyramid-style bridge and faux tortoise pickguard echo the aesthetics of Shawn’s own 1920s Martin, while the gloss finish lets the natural beauty of the tonewoods shine through. The 24.9-inch scale and GE Modified Low Oval neck carve make the guitar feel immediately inviting, with a slightly slinkier string tension that is kinder on the hands during long sessions.

Personal touches make this model unmistakably Shawn’s. The ebony fingerboard features a custom mother-of-pearl Mendes Eagle inlay, adding a subtle but distinctive focal point as you move up the neck. Each guitar is strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 light gauge strings, chosen for their long-lasting tone and consistent feel. With its blend of heritage design, artist-specific details and premium construction, the 000-28 Shawn Mendes is a compelling choice for dedicated fans, serious songwriters and collectors looking for a rare, small-bodied Martin that will hold its value and inspire for years to come.

Vintage 000 Body with Modern Playability

The 000-14 fret body and 24.9-inch scale length deliver a comfortable, compact feel that is ideal for songwriting, recording and performance. The shorter scale reduces string tension slightly, making bends easier and extended playing more relaxed, while still offering plenty of projection and dynamic range.

Premium Solid Tonewoods and Golden Era Bracing

A solid spruce top with antique toner finish, combined with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, produces a rich, balanced and articulate acoustic voice. Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, as found on the Modern Deluxe Series, enhances resonance and responsiveness, giving you a lively, expressive instrument that reacts beautifully to your touch.

Signature Shawn Mendes Aesthetic

Custom details such as the mother-of-pearl Mendes Eagle fingerboard inlay, ebony pyramid-style bridge and vintage-inspired faux tortoise pickguard connect this model directly to Shawn’s own 1920s Martin. These artist-specific touches give the guitar a unique visual identity while retaining classic Martin elegance.
