Product Description
The Mapex Saturn VI 8 x 7 inch Tom Pack in Royal Purple Burst is a compact, punchy add on for your Saturn kit, complete with a TH800 SONIClear tom holder for easy mounting. Built from the signature maple and walnut hybrid shell, it delivers fast, articulate attack with a rich, musical sustain that drops straight into modern rock, pop and fusion setups.
This 8 inch tom is ideal for players looking to expand their tonal palette with higher voices that still feel full and controlled. The SONIClear bearing edges and suspension system help the drum sing freely, making tuning quicker and more consistent across a wide range. Finished in a stunning Royal Purple Burst with chrome hardware, it looks every bit as premium as it sounds.
Whether you are fleshing out a Saturn VI shell pack or tailoring a custom configuration, this tom gives you professional level tone in a compact footprint. The included TH800 holder means you can get it on your kit and gig ready with minimal fuss.
Maple and Walnut Hybrid Shell
The 6 ply maple and walnut shell is at the heart of the Saturn sound. Maple provides warmth and balance, while walnut adds low end focus and projection, giving this small tom surprising body and presence. The result is a bright, cutting voice that still feels full and musical, perfect for intricate fills and high pitched accents that need to be heard in a mix.
SONIClear Bearing Edges and Suspension
Mapexs SONIClear bearing edges allow the head to sit flatter on the shell, improving contact and making tuning quicker and more predictable. Paired with the SONIClear suspension system, the drum is allowed to resonate naturally without hardware choking the tone. You get a more open, singing note with better sustain and clarity at all dynamics.
TH800 SONIClear Tom Holder Included
The included TH800 SONIClear tom holder gives you a solid, road ready mounting solution straight out of the box. Designed to work seamlessly with Mapex hardware, it provides stable positioning while allowing the shell to vibrate freely. This means less time wrestling with stands and more time playing, whether in the studio or on stage.
Royal Purple Burst Finish with Chrome Hardware
The Royal Purple Burst finish gives this tom a striking, high end look that stands out under stage lights and in the studio. Combined with sleek chrome hardware and triple flanged hoops, it complements existing Saturn VI setups and adds a touch of custom shop flair to any kit configuration.
