Product Description
The Mapex Saturn VI 8 x 7 inch Tom Pack in Marine Teal Burst is a compact, punchy add on tom that brings the signature Saturn blend of maple and walnut to your kit in a highly versatile size. Supplied with a TH800 SONIClear tom holder, it is ready to drop straight onto your existing hardware, expanding your tonal palette with focused attack, musical warmth and a stunning modern finish.
Built around a 6 ply hybrid shell with SONIClear bearing edges and suspension, this tom is designed to sing with clarity at any tuning. The maple and walnut construction delivers a rich, controlled voice that sits perfectly in rock, pop, fusion and beyond, while the triple flanged Power Hoops keep the feel open and responsive. Whether you are fleshing out a Saturn shell pack or adding a premium auxiliary tom to a mixed setup, this 8 inch tom offers pro level performance in a compact footprint.
Maple and Walnut Hybrid Shell
The Saturn VI shell combines maple and walnut in a 6 ply construction that balances warmth, projection and definition. Maple provides familiar punch and presence, while walnut adds low mid body and a smooth, musical sustain. The result is an 8 inch tom that sounds bigger than it looks, with enough cut to be heard in a mix yet enough depth to blend naturally with larger toms.
SONIClear Bearing Edges and Suspension
Mapex SONIClear bearing edges are engineered to allow the head to sit flatter on the shell, making tuning quicker, more accurate and more stable. Paired with the SONIClear suspension system, the shell is allowed to resonate more freely, giving you better sustain, improved tone at lower tunings and a more consistent response across the drum.
Triple Flanged Power Hoops
Fitted with 2.3 mm triple flanged Power Hoops, this tom offers a great balance between focus and openness. The heavier gauge hoop helps tighten up the attack and control overtones without choking the drum, so you get a crisp, articulate strike that still feels lively under the sticks. Rimshots and accents speak clearly while maintaining the characteristic Saturn warmth.
TH800 SONIClear Tom Holder Included
The included TH800 SONIClear tom holder makes mounting straightforward and secure. Designed to work seamlessly with the SONIClear suspension, it supports the drum firmly while allowing it to resonate naturally. This gives you flexible positioning on your existing hardware and a stable setup that will stand up to regular gigging and rehearsals.
Features
- 8 x 7 inch Saturn VI Tom - A compact tom size that delivers quick attack and focused tone, ideal for adding higher pitched voices to your kit or tightening up fast fills without sacrificing musicality.

- SONIClear Bearing Edges and Suspension - Improved head to shell contact and isolated mounting make tuning easier and more consistent, while enhancing sustain and resonance so the drum speaks clearly at any dynamic.
- TH800 Holder and Power Hoops - The included TH800 SONIClear tom holder provides stable, flexible mounting, while 2.3 mm triple flanged Power Hoops offer controlled attack and reliable tuning without choking the shell.
