Product Description
The Mapex Saturn VI 8 x 7 inch Tom Pack in Black Ink Burst is a compact, punchy add-on tom designed to expand your Saturn kit with focused attack and musical warmth. Built from the acclaimed maple and walnut hybrid shell and supplied with a TH800 SONIClear tom holder, it drops straight into your existing setup with minimal fuss and maximum tone.
Whether you are fleshing out a Saturn shell pack or tailoring your kit for more melodic tom runs, this 8 inch tom delivers fast response, clear pitch and a smooth, controlled decay. The SONIClear bearing edges and suspension system work together to let the shell resonate naturally, so you get the full character of the maple and walnut blend at any tuning.
The Black Ink Burst finish and chrome hardware give this tom a sleek, modern look that sits perfectly alongside the rest of the Saturn VI range. Triple flanged 2.3 mm Power Hoops keep the feel open and expressive under the sticks, while chamber specific nodal line air vents help the drum breathe and project in both live and studio environments.
With pro-level construction and thoughtful hardware, this Saturn VI 8 x 7 inch tom is a simple, effective way to unlock new voices on your kit, from tight, articulate high parts to singing melodic lines when tuned down.
Maple and Walnut Hybrid Shell
The 6 ply maple and walnut shell is at the heart of the Saturn sound, balancing the warmth and low-end body of walnut with the clarity and projection of maple. On an 8 inch tom this translates into a surprisingly full tone that still cuts through the mix, ideal for intricate fills and defined accents.
SONIClear Bearing Edges and Suspension
SONIClear bearing edges make tuning quicker and more consistent by allowing the head to sit flatter on the shell, while the matching SONIClear suspension isolates the tom from the mounting hardware. Together they enhance sustain, improve clarity and let you dial in musical, usable pitches across a wide tuning range.
Triple Flanged 2.3 mm Power Hoops
The 2.3 mm triple flanged Power Hoops provide a solid, focused rim for articulate stick response without choking the shell. You get a comfortable playing feel, reliable tuning stability and open, musical overtones that suit everything from tight fusion setups to more open rock tunings.
TH800 SONIClear Tom Holder Included
Supplied with a TH800 SONIClear tom holder, this pack is ready to mount straight onto compatible hardware. The holder offers secure positioning and smooth adjustability, so you can fine-tune the angle and height of the tom to match your playing style and existing kit layout.
