Mapex Armory 22" Rock Fusion Acoustic Shell Pack in Blue Wave Burst

The Mapex Armory Series 22" 5 Piece Rock Fusion Shell Pack in Blue Wave Burst delivers a powerful, modern drum sound with a sleek, high gloss look. Featuring hybrid birch and maple shells, SONIClear bearing edges and a matching Armory Tomahawk snare, this kit is designed to give drummers a responsive, punchy tone that is easy to tune and ready for stage or studio.

Combining Mapex Hybrid Technology shells with premium appointments like SONIClear suspension mounts, insulated bass drum claws and upgraded Remo UC double ply batter heads, the Armory Series gives you a professional playing experience at a highly accessible price point. Whether you are upgrading from your first kit or looking for a reliable workhorse for regular gigging, this shell pack offers the projection, clarity and tuning stability you need.

The Rock Fusion configuration balances low end power with focused attack, making it ideal for rock, pop, worship and heavier styles where definition and punch are essential. The Blue Wave Burst finish over olivewood outer veneers adds a striking visual flair that looks as good under stage lights as it does in the rehearsal room.

Hybrid Birch and Maple Shells

At the heart of the Armory Series is Mapex Hybrid Technology, combining birch and maple plies in a 6 ply shell. Birch brings attack and clarity, while maple adds warmth and musicality, resulting in a balanced tone that cuts through a mix without sounding harsh. This fusion of woods gives you a versatile sound that works across genres and responds dynamically to your playing.

SONIClear Bearing Edges and Mounts

SONIClear bearing edges allow the drumhead to sit flatter on the shell, improving contact and making tuning quicker and more consistent. Paired with SONIClear suspension mounts and floor tom feet, the shells are allowed to resonate more freely, enhancing sustain and tone while reducing unwanted choke. The result is a fuller, more open sound with less effort spent on tuning.

Stage Ready Hardware Details

From low mass nutboxes to insulated bass drum claws, every hardware detail on the Armory Series is designed to maximise resonance and reliability. The TH676 double tom holder with its new memory lock design ensures your toms stay exactly where you want them, night after night, making set up faster and more consistent for regular gigging.

Armory Tomahawk Snare and Head Upgrade

This shell pack includes the Armory Tomahawk snare drum, giving you a crisp, cutting snare voice to match the power of the toms and bass drum. The factory upgrade to Remo UC double ply clear batter heads on the toms provides added durability and a focused, punchy tone straight out of the box, so you can get playing with confidence right away.

• M.H.T 6 Ply Birch/Maple/Birch Shells - The hybrid construction blends the attack and projection of birch with the warmth and body of maple, giving you a versatile, modern drum sound that works in both live and studio settings.
