Lollar sB Strat Middle Pickup in Matte Black / Nickel

The Lollar sB Strat Middle Pickup in Matte Black / Nickel delivers a thicker, more vocal take on classic Strat tone, while still dropping straight into a standard single coil route. Built from one side of Lollar’s acclaimed dB humbucker, it offers a smooth, PAF inspired midrange with stronger sustain and a blooming note attack, giving your Strat a more muscular, expressive voice without losing clarity or definition.

Instead of the usual glassy, scooped single coil sound, the sB Strat Middle emphasises a warm, focused lower midrange that sits beautifully in a mix. Whether you pair it with an sB neck and a dB bridge for an SSH setup, or use it as part of a full three pickup sB set, this blade style middle pickup gives you powerful, noise free performance and a refined, modern feel in a familiar footprint.

PAF Inspired Character for Strat Players

By basing the design on one coil of the dB humbucker, the sB Strat Middle Pickup shifts your Strat towards a smoother, PAF like response. You get a vocal, fundamental lower midrange and a more rounded top end, ideal if you find traditional Strat pickups too bright or thin but still want single coil articulation and touch sensitivity.

Stronger Sustain and Bloom

The sB design enhances sustain and gives each note a distinct bloom on the attack, making bends, vibrato and held chords feel more expressive. This extra length and shape to the note helps leads sing and chords ring out with authority, particularly useful for players who rely on dynamics rather than extreme gain.

Blade Pole Piece Clarity

Using a blade rather than individual pole pieces ensures even string to string balance and consistent output across the fretboard. The result is a thicker overall tone that still retains excellent clarity and definition, so complex chords, fast runs and wide bends all remain articulate and controlled.

Drop In Strat Replacement

The sB Strat Middle Pickup is designed to fit a traditional Strat style single coil route, making it a straightforward upgrade for many S type guitars. With recommended 500k pots and a 0.047 μF capacitor, it integrates easily into modern wiring schemes and pairs naturally with the sB neck and dB bridge for a cohesive, powerful set.

• PAF Inspired Lower Midrange - Voiced with a smooth, vocal lower midrange reminiscent of a classic PAF, this middle pickup moves your Strat away from overly scooped, glassy tones and towards a richer, more musical core that sits comfortably in any mix.
• Enhanced Sustain and Note Bloom - The sB design delivers a noticeable bloom on the front of each note and increased sustain, giving solos more singing quality and making clean passages feel more responsive and expressive under the fingers.
• Blade Style Single Coil Clarity - A continuous blade ensures consistent output across all strings and positions, providing a thicker sound than a typical Strat pickup while maintaining the clarity and definition associated with Lollar’s blade single coils.
• Drop In Strat Replacement with Versatile Pairing - Built to fit a standard Strat single coil route, the sB Middle can be combined with an sB neck and a dB bridge for an SSH configuration, or used as part of a three piece sB set, giving you flexible options for modern, powerful Strat tones.
