Lollar sB Strat Middle Pickup in Matte Black / Chrome

The Lollar sB Strat Middle Pickup in Matte Black / Chrome delivers a thicker, more vocal take on classic Strat tone while still dropping straight into a standard single coil route. Based on one coil of Lollar’s acclaimed dB humbucker, it swaps the usual glassy, scooped Strat sound for a smoother, PAF inspired voice with stronger sustain, a blooming attack and a focused lower midrange. If you want more authority and punch from your Strat without sacrificing clarity, this middle pickup is designed to sit perfectly in the mix.

Voiced to complement both traditional single coils and the full sized dB humbucker, the sB Strat Middle Pickup offers a powerful yet articulate response that excels with gain and still cleans up beautifully. Its blade design ensures even string response across bends and alternate tunings, while the Matte Black / Chrome aesthetic adds a modern, stealthy twist to your pickguard.

With a DC resistance of 6.4k in the middle position, the sB Strat balances output and detail, giving you a muscular but controlled tone that works for everything from blues and rock to heavier, more saturated styles. Pair it with an sB neck and a dB bridge for a cohesive SSH set, or use it as part of a full three piece sB Strat configuration for a unified, blade voiced rig.

PAF Inspired Warmth for Strat Players

Instead of the bright, scooped character associated with many Strat single coils, the sB Middle Pickup leans into a smoother, PAF like tonality. You get a vocal, fundamental lower midrange that fills out chords and single notes, making your Strat sound fuller and more authoritative without becoming muddy.

Blade Coil Design with Even String Response

The blade style coil ensures consistent output across all six strings, no matter how hard you bend or how low you tune. This gives you rock solid note definition and balance, particularly useful for expressive lead work and modern playing styles where traditional pole pieces can sometimes drop out.

Drop In Replacement with Modern Aesthetics

Designed to fit a traditional Strat pickup route, the sB Middle Pickup installs as a straightforward replacement with no need for custom routing. The Matte Black / Chrome finish brings a contemporary, understated look that pairs well with both classic and modern Strat designs.

Optimised Output and Control Compatibility

With an average DC resistance of 6.4k in the middle position, the sB Strat sits in the sweet spot between vintage clarity and modern punch. Lollar recommend 500k potentiometers and a 0.047μF capacitor, helping you unlock the full dynamic range and tonal versatility of the pickup across your volume and tone controls.

• One Coil of the dB Humbucker Voice - Built from one side of Lollar’s dB humbucker, the sB Strat Middle Pickup delivers a thicker, more powerful single coil sound with a smooth, PAF like character. This gives your Strat a more muscular voice that still retains the articulation players expect.
• Blade Style Single Coil Construction - The continuous blade ensures even string to string balance and consistent output across the fretboard. Bends stay loud and clear, and complex chords remain defined, making it ideal for expressive and technical playing.
• Drop In Strat Replacement - Designed to fit a traditional Strat pickup route, the sB Middle Pickup can be installed without modifying your guitar. This makes it an easy upgrade for players wanting a more substantial tone without changing the look or layout of their instrument.
• Balanced Output for Versatile Rigs - With a 6.4k DC resistance and recommended 500k pots plus 0.047μF capacitor, the sB Middle Pickup offers a strong yet controlled output that pairs well with both other sB Strat pickups and the full sized dB humbucker. This allows you to build cohesive SSH or three single coil setups with matching feel and response.
