The Lollar sB Strat Bridge Pickup in Matte Black / Gold brings the muscular, vocal character of Lollar’s dB humbucker into a direct drop-in Strat-sized single-coil. Voiced to deliver a thicker, smoother take on classic Strat tones, it trades ice-pick brightness for a sweet, PAF-inspired midrange, stronger sustain and a blooming note attack, while still keeping the clarity and definition players expect from a high-end blade pickup.
Instead of the traditional glassy, scooped Strat sound, the sB Strat Bridge focuses on a solid, singing fundamental that sits perfectly in a mix. Whether you are taming an overly bright guitar, chasing more authority for rock and fusion, or wanting a bridge pickup that can keep up with humbuckers without losing single-coil articulation, this pickup is designed to slot straight into your existing Strat route and elevate your tone with minimal fuss.
PAF-Inspired Voice in a Strat-Sized Package
The sB Strat Bridge takes one coil from Lollar’s acclaimed dB humbucker and reshapes it into a traditional Strat footprint. The result is a bridge pickup with a vocal lower midrange and smooth top end that feels closer to a refined PAF than a typical bright, scooped Strat single-coil. You get more body and musicality from every note, ideal for lead lines that need to sing rather than sting.
Stronger Sustain and Bloom
Designed for a more expressive response, the sB Strat Bridge offers a noticeable increase in sustain and a blooming attack as notes develop. This makes bends feel more rewarding, chords ring longer, and gain tones feel richer and more controllable. It is particularly effective for players who rely on touch dynamics and want their picking nuance to translate clearly.
Thicker Tone with Clear Definition
With an average DC resistance of 7.2k, the bridge model delivers a thicker, more powerful tone than a typical Strat bridge pickup, yet still retains the clarity and string-to-string balance associated with Lollar’s blade designs. You can push amps and pedals harder without the sound turning muddy, making it equally at home with edge-of-breakup crunch, saturated leads, or articulate cleans.
Part of a Matching sB Strat System
The sB Strat pickups are available as a dedicated neck, middle and bridge set, voiced to complement each other or to pair seamlessly with a full-sized dB humbucker for SSH configurations. This means you can build a cohesive, blade-style rig that shares the same aesthetic, output and tonal philosophy across all positions, simplifying your upgrade path and ensuring consistent performance.
Features
- Strat-Sized Coil from the dB Humbucker - Built from one side of Lollar’s dB humbucker, the sB Strat Bridge drops straight into a standard Strat route, giving you humbucker-inspired authority and feel without any routing or modification.
- Smooth PAF-Style Midrange - Voiced with a strong, vocal lower midrange and a controlled top end, this pickup replaces harsh brightness with a refined, musical character that cuts through the mix without sounding thin.
- Enhanced Sustain and Note Bloom - The design emphasises a strong fundamental and extended sustain, so notes swell and bloom as they ring out, adding expressiveness to solos and making chords feel more three-dimensional.
- Optimised for 500k Electronics - Recommended with 500k pots and a 0.047μF capacitor, the sB Strat Bridge is easy to integrate into modern wiring schemes, helping you unlock its full clarity, punch and dynamic range.
