Product Description
Inspired by the legendary Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve amplifier, the Jackson Audio Silvertone Twin Twelve SP1484 Overdrive Pedal captures the exact character of one of rock music’s most iconic tones. Whether you want chimey, vintage cleans, a studio-grade preamp, or gritty, harmonically rich overdrive, this compact pedal delivers the unmistakable sound that powered countless classic records.
Legendary Twin Twelve Tone in a Pedal
The SP1484 is designed as an exact recreation of the original Silvertone Twin Twelve amplifier circuit, faithfully translating its unique voice into pedal form. This gives you the same chewy midrange, tight low end and gritty top end that made the 1484 a studio secret weapon, without needing to track down or maintain a vintage amp.
From Studio-Grade Preamp to Classic Overdrive
Depending on how you set the controls, the SP1484 can function as a clean, studio-quality preamp, a punchy boost, an EQ-style tone shaper or a full-on overdrive. Run it with lower gain for articulate cleans and subtle enhancement, or turn it up for thick, compressed drive that still retains note definition and touch sensitivity.
Iconic Rock Tones at Your Feet
The original Twin Twelve has been a go-to amp for artists across alternative, indie and classic rock, and the SP1484 puts those same tones directly under your feet. From garage rock crunch and fuzzy, open chords to tight, riff-ready drive, it delivers the character and attitude that made the 1484 a favourite of some of the biggest names in modern guitar.
Pedalboard-Friendly and Easy to Integrate
With standard 9V DC power, a compact footprint and high input impedance, the SP1484 drops straight into any modern pedalboard. Its output impedance is optimised to work well with other pedals and long cable runs, making it easy to place anywhere in your signal chain, whether as an always-on foundation tone or a dedicated drive voice.
Features
- Authentic Silvertone 1484 Circuit Recreation - The SP1484 is built to mirror the tonal response of the original Twin Twelve amplifier, giving you the same gritty, harmonically rich voice that defined countless classic recordings, without the cost or upkeep of a vintage combo.
- Multi-Role Pedal: Preamp, Boost, EQ and Overdrive - Thanks to its flexible gain structure and EQ, the SP1484 can serve as a clean preamp, subtle tone enhancer, powerful boost or primary overdrive, allowing you to cover a wide range of sounds from one pedal and simplify your rig.
- Classic Clean and Overdriven Tones - Dial in sparkling, slightly compressed cleans or push the pedal harder for thick, saturated drive that responds beautifully to your picking dynamics and guitar volume, recreating the expressive feel of the original amp.
- Pedalboard-Friendly Power and Size - Running on a standard 9V DC centre negative supply with a modest 35mA current draw and a compact enclosure, the SP1484 integrates easily into modern pedalboards without demanding special power or excessive space.
