Product Description
The J Rockett Audio Designs Boing is a no-nonsense, single knob spring reverb pedal inspired by the classic Fender Deluxe Reverb sound. Designed to sit perfectly in a live mix, it delivers that familiar splashy, surfy ambience and subtle room warmth without getting lost or turning your tone to mush.
Rather than chasing multi-algorithm studio reverbs, the Boing focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well: authentic amp-style spring reverb under your foot. Its hybrid analogue/digital design uses the revered PT2399 chip alongside an analogue treble circuit to recreate the bounce, drip and early reflections of a real tank, all in a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure.
With just a single control, the Boing is incredibly easy to dial in. Set it low for a gentle halo that makes clean and edge-of-breakup tones feel bigger and more three-dimensional, or crank it for full-on surf and vintage rock ambience. True bypass switching keeps your dry tone pristine when the effect is off, and flexible power options mean it will drop straight into almost any rig.
Classic Deluxe Reverb Style Tones
The Boing is voiced to capture the character of the spring reverbs built into classic Deluxe Reverb amplifiers. That means bright, splashy trails with a touch of drip and movement, ideal for everything from subtle country shimmer to full-on surf rock. If you love the feel of a great amp reverb but want it on any amp, the Boing brings that sound to your pedalboard.
Simple One Knob Operation
Just like the vintage amps that inspired it, the Boing uses a single control to set the reverb level. Turn it clockwise for more ambience, anticlockwise for less. There are no menus, hidden functions or complex controls to get in the way, so you can focus on playing and find your sweet spot in seconds, even on a dark stage.
Analogue / Digital Hybrid Circuit
At the heart of the Boing is the Accutronics PT2399 digital chip, partnered with an analogue treble circuit that adds the characteristic spring-style splash and early reflections. This hybrid approach gives you the musical, organic feel of a real spring tank with the reliability and consistency of a modern pedal, ensuring your reverb remains present and defined in a busy live mix.
Pedalboard Friendly and Gig Ready
Housed in a compact enclosure, the Boing measures just 4.00" x 2.30", making it easy to slot onto even crowded boards. It runs from a standard 9V negative tip adaptor or a 9V battery, and true bypass switching keeps your core tone intact when the pedal is disengaged. With a modest 60 mA current draw, it plays nicely with most modern power supplies.
Features
- Deluxe Reverb Inspired Spring Sound - Voiced after the iconic spring reverb found in classic Deluxe Reverb amplifiers, the Boing delivers familiar splash, drip and warmth that instantly feels like part of your amp rather than an added effect.
- Single Knob Ease of Use - One control handles the entire reverb level, so you can go from subtle room ambience to cavernous surf tones with a quick twist, making it ideal for live use and fast adjustments mid-set.
- Analogue / Digital Hybrid Design - The PT2399-based core teamed with an analogue treble circuit provides spring-style bounce and clarity, helping your reverb stay articulate and present without washing out your playing.
- Compact, True Bypass and Flexible Power - A small footprint, true bypass switching, 9V adaptor or battery operation and low current draw make the Boing easy to integrate into almost any pedalboard setup.
