Product Description

ARC Studio+ is a next-generation room calibration processor designed to deliver accurate, consistent monitoring across professional studios, project rooms and changing production environments. Building on the original ARC Studio, it combines Arc X measurement and correction technology with a redesigned all-aluminium enclosure, standalone calibration and expanded connectivity.

Correction is applied directly in hardware, outside the DAW, providing near-zero monitoring latency without relying on plug-ins or software running during playback. ARC Studio+ supports both analogue and digital workflows, with balanced XLR/TRS inputs, balanced XLR outputs, USB-C and optical S/PDIF connectivity.

For permanent installations, Arc X enables detailed multi-point calibration using 1, 3, 7 or 21 measurement positions. Profiles can then be stored on the processor for reliable standalone correction. A computer-free one-point calibration mode is also available for quick setup in temporary or untreated spaces.

Integrated subwoofer management makes it easy to create consistent stereo and 2.1 monitoring systems, with automatic phase, level and crossover optimisation. Three onboard presets allow complete configurations to be recalled directly from the front panel, giving engineers a streamlined way to switch between monitoring setups.

Features
  • ARC X Room Calibration - Advanced measurement and correction technology creates accurate monitoring profiles using up to 21 measurement positions for detailed room calibration.
  • Integrated Subwoofer Management - Automatic routing, phase, level and crossover optimisation provides consistent low-frequency integration when using a subwoofer.
  • Standalone Hardware Correction - Apply room correction directly through the processor with near-zero latency, without requiring plug-ins or software during playback.

Advanced Room Calibration:

ARC Studio+ uses IK Multimedia's Arc X measurement and correction engine to compensate for acoustic issues that can affect monitoring accuracy. Room modes, spectral imbalances and timing inconsistencies can all influence mix decisions, particularly in untreated or imperfect listening environments.

For permanent studio installations, Arc X provides multi-point measurement using 1, 3, 7 or 21 positions, building a detailed representation of the listening environment. Once calibration is complete, the resulting profile is transferred to ARC Studio+ for standalone operation. The computer does not need to remain connected, allowing correction to work consistently across DAW-based, hybrid and console workflows. Three full-range calibration profiles can be stored on the processor, making it simple to switch between different monitoring configurations.

Fast Standalone Calibration:

ARC Studio+ also provides a convenient computer-free calibration mode for situations where a full multi-point measurement is unnecessary. Connect the included ARC measurement microphone to the processor, hold the front panel calibration button and the unit automatically performs a rapid one-point measurement.

This makes ARC Studio+ particularly useful for mobile production, temporary studios, untreated rooms and fast-changing working environments where a reliable monitoring reference is needed quickly. The dedicated processor applies correction outside the DAW, helping maintain consistent monitoring regardless of the software or playback path being used.

For more demanding installations, Arc X can be used to create detailed multi-point profiles before uploading them to the hardware. This combination of quick standalone setup and advanced software calibration gives engineers flexibility without compromising the core monitoring workflow.

Integrated Subwoofer Management:

ARC Studio+ includes a dedicated subwoofer output designed to simplify the integration of a subwoofer into professional monitoring systems. When a subwoofer is connected, the processor manages the key alignment parameters required for a coherent 2.1 setup.

Automatic phase and level alignment helps balance the relationship between the main monitors and subwoofer, while internal crossover management provides a smooth transition between them. This helps minimise unwanted overlap, cancellations and excessive low-frequency build-up at the listening position.

The processor supports both full-range stereo and 2.1 configurations, with two dedicated 2.1 profiles available alongside three full-range profiles. Presets can be recalled directly from the front panel, providing a straightforward way to switch between monitoring configurations without manually changing multiple settings.
