Product Description
The Ibanez XPTB620-BKF Iron Label Xiphos is a no-compromise metal machine, built for blistering speed, crushing rhythm work and rock-solid tuning stability. With its aggressive neck-through construction, DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers and Edge-Zero II tremolo, this fully blacked-out Xiphos is designed to stay precise and controllable even under the most extreme playing conditions.
Every element of the XPTB620-BKF is tailored for modern metal performance. The ultra-slim Wizard III 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck offers effortless playability across all 24 jumbo frets, while the Ebony fretboard delivers a fast, articulate response that keeps complex riffs and rapid-fire runs crystal clear. Paired with a lightweight Okoume wing body and locking hardware, this is a guitar that feels as sharp and focused as it looks.
Tonally, the Xiphos is voiced for tight, high-gain clarity. The DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers provide a powerful, punchy output with razor-sharp attack and excellent note separation, ideal for down-tuned chugs, technical riffing and soaring leads. The Edge-Zero II tremolo with stud lock keeps everything locked in tune, so you can divebomb, flutter and squeal without sacrificing stability.
Finished in a stealthy Black Flat satin polyurethane with matching black hardware, the Iron Label Xiphos has a commanding stage presence that perfectly reflects its purpose-built, metal-first design. If you want a guitar that looks lethal, plays effortlessly and delivers uncompromising modern metal tones, the XPTB620-BKF is ready to take centre stage.
Wizard III Neck-Through Construction
The Wizard III 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck-through design gives you exceptional upper fret access and long-lasting stability. The ultra-slim profile lets your fretting hand glide effortlessly, making fast runs, wide stretches and complex chord shapes feel natural and controlled, even during long sets or demanding studio sessions.
Ebony Fretboard for Precision and Attack
An Ebony fretboard offers a tight, immediate response with a bright top-end snap that keeps every note defined. Whether you are palm-muting low riffs or executing intricate lead lines, the Ebony surface and 24 jumbo frets work together to deliver a fast, smooth feel with excellent clarity under high gain.
DiMarzio D Activator Humbuckers
The DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers provide a powerful, aggressive voice tailored for modern metal. They deliver tight low-end, cutting mids and a clear, controlled high-end that stays articulate under heavy distortion. This means punchy rhythm tones, singing leads and excellent note separation, even with complex chords and fast alternate picking.
Edge-Zero II Tremolo with Stud Lock
The Edge-Zero II tremolo with stud lock is engineered for reliable tuning stability and smooth operation. You can perform deep dives, flutters and expressive vibrato with confidence, knowing the locking nut and bridge work together to keep your tuning solid and your intonation consistent, gig after gig.
Features
- Wizard III 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck-Through - The slim, fast Wizard III profile and neck-through construction provide outstanding playability and sustain. This combination makes it easier to execute demanding techniques and access the highest frets without obstruction.
- Ebony Fretboard with 24 Jumbo Frets - Ebony offers a snappy, articulate response that keeps your playing clear and defined, while 24 jumbo frets give you an extended range for solos and complex riffs. The larger fret size also makes bending and vibrato feel smoother and more controlled.
- DiMarzio D Activator Humbuckers - These passive humbuckers are voiced for tight, aggressive metal tones with excellent clarity. They handle high-gain settings with ease, delivering punchy rhythm sounds and searing leads without getting muddy or losing definition.
- Edge-Zero II Tremolo with Locking Nut - The Edge-Zero II bridge and locking nut work together to maintain tuning stability during heavy tremolo use. This lets you add expressive pitch effects and dramatic dives to your playing while keeping your tuning consistent and reliable.
