Product Description
The Ibanez V40-OPN is a full-sized dreadnought acoustic that delivers a bright, articulate voice with plenty of volume, all wrapped up in a comfortable, lightweight Open Pore Natural finish. With a spruce top for clarity, meranti back and sides for warmth, and a smooth Nandu Wood fretboard, it is a fantastic choice for beginners and developing players who want a reliable, great-sounding first guitar.
Designed to balance playability, tone and practicality, the V40-OPN offers strong projection for strumming and chords, while still responding well to gentler fingerstyle playing. Thoughtful touches such as Ibanez Advantage bridge pins and chrome covered tuners help make everyday use easier, from restringing to staying in tune, so you can focus on playing rather than fighting your instrument.
Bright, Clear Spruce Top
The V40-OPN features a spruce top that provides a crisp, articulate tone with plenty of definition. This helps your chords ring clearly and ensures single-note lines cut through, making it easier to hear your playing and develop good technique.
Warm, Balanced Meranti Back and Sides
Meranti back and sides give the guitar a warm, rounded character that balances the brightness of the spruce. This combination offers a pleasing, musical response that works well for a wide range of styles, from folk and pop to simple campfire strumming.
Comfortable Dreadnought Body with Open Pore Finish
The full-sized dreadnought body provides strong projection and natural acoustic volume, ideal for playing with others or practising without amplification. The Open Pore Natural finish keeps the instrument feeling lightweight and comfortable, helping it resonate freely while feeling inviting in the hands.
Smooth Nandu Wood Fretboard and Practical Hardware
A Nandu Wood fretboard and bridge offer a smooth, natural feel under the fingers, supporting comfortable fretting and stable intonation. Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make string changes more secure and straightforward, while chrome covered tuners help maintain stable tuning session after session.
Features
- Spruce Top for Articulate Tone - The spruce soundboard delivers a bright, focused sound with clear note separation, helping your chords and melodies stand out and making it easier to hear your progress as you learn.
- Meranti Back and Sides for Warmth - Meranti adds warmth and balance to the overall tone, smoothing out harshness and providing a pleasing, musical response that suits strumming, flatpicking and fingerstyle alike.
- Full-Sized Dreadnought Body - The classic dreadnought shape offers strong projection and natural volume, so your playing carries well in a room without needing amplification, ideal for practice, jams and singalongs.
- Nandu Wood Fretboard with Ibanez Advantage Pins - The Nandu Wood fretboard feels smooth and comfortable, supporting easy chord changes, while Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make restringing simpler and more secure, perfect for newer players.
